15 new maps? Eichenwalde, Oasis, Lunar, Junkertown, Blizzard World, Rialto, Ecopoint, Necropolis, Castillo, Black Forest, Château Guillard, Petra, Ayutthaya. I count only 13, which are the last 2?

I think it's a bit dishonest for Blizzard to claim these are milestones that were crossed in the second year but it's really just the overall data from the two years that Overwatch has been out. I mean I get it's more attractive to say that 6 new heroes and 15 new maps after a second year but when it's really more like 3 heroes and about 7 maps of varying size over each year it just feels a little duplicitous to claim that.

How is it dishonest to go "we crossed these milestones" and then go "we passed 15 maps", "we passed 6 new heroes", exactly?

It's more a problem with the wording. Saying "crossed in its second year" makes it sound like the stats are representing all that was done in it's second year however if they said something like "has achieved by the end of it's second year" then that would include both of the years that Overwatch has been out as the data itself displays that time frame. It just feels a bit dishonest to suggest they achieved this all in one year especially when this is technically a piece of advertising.

Then I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree, 'cause I don't read it like that.

Anniversary means from point zero to point 2 years. So somebody reads something he wants to read

Probably Rio and Sydney, though they're just Lucioball maps.

I could do without half these maps tbh.

They achieved these milestones in their second year. Six total heroes added, 15 total maps, etc.

It's like if you reached 500 hours played last month after playing since launch, you would have crossed the 500 hour milestone this year.

They are in no way suggesting they achieved this in one year, they are suggesting they achieved this over two years.

This is a case where they said what they meant and you heard what you wanted to hear. That fault isn't theirs, it is yours.
If you push a button that finds you a 'random group' and it gives you a random group of people with random skill and random knowledge then you have no right to complain that a 'random group' button did what it was designed to do. The fault lies in your inability to make friends to play with instead of relying on a button designed to be random. It is a 'random group' button, not a 'best of the best' button.
