Calls for Twitch to police 'sexual streaming'

I think the people wanting them removed are people who wish for it to be a legitimate game streaming site and leave the cam whoring for the millions of other places you can watch it on the web.

It's that, and I also feel it is partly creating unfair competition.

If we are to assume that the majority (by whatever margin) of viewers on twitch are male, who do you think most men would want to watch stream their favorite game? A guy, or a girl with her breasts mostly exposed? Men don't have any way to draw in other men aside from their content. Women can have the same quality of content, but add breasts, and they will get more viewers than the men do.

It doesn't really matter what they're doing. They could be playing with Hotwheels for all I care. I don't understand why you're bothered with what somebody else is watching. You can always watch whatever you want to watch.

The IRL and affiliate programs legitimised this kind of content. I don't particularly care either way about the validity of it on the platform, but you can't really handwave the concerns of different rules for different streamers. This kind of thing tends to happen naturally as big money makers are protected to a degree, but they also tend to be held to a different professional standard through their contracts. This is a monetary incentive to follow the site rules and guidelines. Clearly some streams are allowed to break the site rules, and their contracts by extension, with no or minimal punishment. It is the blatant inconsistency that is concerning.

You do know that is a problem between Twitch and the advertisers!? If there are advertisers that dont want to be associated with that type of streaming i would think they had that in their contract with Twitch.

i agreee, and people even call me an "SJW" lol but i still think its true, its actually harder for women to get into gaming especially more REAL gamers yes REAL gamers like people who play compettive/esports, when you have the streamers with the cam on their giant boobs and loose clothes giving all women in gaming a bad name.

The sad part is i watched enough streams with women that have NOT been lightly dressed and without huge cleavages and all they get as soon as a new follower joins is "lol nice boobs" and whatnot. im curious as to how that "discussion was going" with the streamers that got suspended longer then the actual "boobie stremer" Havent seen it but i wouldnt be surprised if there was quite alot of cursing and namecalling towards the women each and evertime this have happened IF it happened at all.

I've never watched a single one, and I think it should be removed...it's against the rules...these are of a obvious sexual nature and they let them be. To be honest, I can get why there's complainers...

Some of these games use their "interest" as a means to get attention. You get complainers about attention whores in virtually every other thing they exist. I've been a gamer girl since I first held a controller in my hands for Sega Megadrive. I still have every console I've ever owned, including the old Megadrive and they all still work with every game. I think from that my affection for the past time is clear...
But it really shows for people who don't exhibit that same, and it does piss me off I can clearly see girls flaunt they are "totally gamer girls" and attract guys because they want attention. It's quite laughable in a way.

I don't Twitch so I don't see it so I can overlook it but in other places like online gaming, it's like "seriously, you're doing it for all the wrong reasons." Maybe I'm mature but even when I was younger, it was still a roll eyes moment.

The hilarious thing is that people bash the streamers for how and why they stream and say "whataboutthechildren" Why dont they attack the ones actually looking at them and enabling their continued streaming?
