I'm working as a 'Vårdbiträde' in elderly care, which means I'm helping elderly people with their hygiene, getting them dressed, serving food, assisting them in their homes, cleaning, doing their laundry, shopping for them. I enjoy it on the good days but on the bad days it can be pretty soul draining.

I monitor cameras for the Mall and Several retailers, used to have a patrol but now I manage others along with a few supervisors for different areas.

I love my job and enjoy it. I don’t like some aspects where we have help prosecut people. Most of the time I don’t feel bad for idiots who steal, but some are very poor and you can tell they were just desperate. But over all theft is way down thanks to better technology except for employee theft that’s way up, but got better the last couple years. I’m looking to forward to retiring soon. Good person can take my place but over all A.I will make much of my profession obsolete.

Right now I'm a student and researcher. I'm doing hydrology/civil engineering research, where we're studying how hydrodynamic bridge scour currents persist downstream and how different things affect that downstream persistence. It's fun and interesting. I hope to do a PhD in geology or some other earth science.

Before that, I did software engineering. I hated it. It was really dry, and boring. I barely saw anyone all day, and just did hardware integration day in and day out. I burned out within months of doing it.


Before THAT, I was a professional fighter and a jujitsu/judo/mma coach. I really loved it. Fighting was fun, coaching little kids was fun, funny and adorable. Teaching adults and other fighters was engaging and interesting. I wound up retiring due to repeated knee injuries, and then complications relating to those injuries, but I really would've loved to continue with it.

I work for the Ministry of Defence logistics, try to make sure every military unit has the right gear at the correct time while making sure we remain at the cutting edge of technology, then my boss goes over my head and buys the cheapest shit offered by the company that offered him the most shares in the company.

I’m a registered representative for a securities broker. And of course I love it. It’s an interesting industry, lots to learn and opportunities for the future. Plus the company has a fantastic culture and great benefits. I’ve learned to appreciate things much more when you realize all jobs have ups and downs, but I get to have a great impact on people trying to take care of something that is very important to many people (their finances).

My office job requires a graduate degree. I am paid well. I could fulfil my weekly job responsibilities in probably 10 hours. I get to work from home 1-2 days a week. I'm bored as f and going nowhere but any other job will require so much more work and probably pay less...

Tank Car repair/welder. Best job I've had. It's unionized. Every process having to do with a Tank Car repair is on file, spelled out for you and yours for the asking so you never not know how to do something. The hardest part of the job was taking the welding test, which is nothing for someone who's welded for any amount of time and knows what they are doing.
