Would you like current Class/Race combos? and why?

Hi.
i dont have a strong opinion on the subject.
Though i expect 90% negative answers, i'd like to hear your thoughts on it.


Would you like to see the current Class/Race combinations in Classic?
(and why do you think it would be good/bad to have/not have them)

Humans: Hunter.
Dwarves: Shaman, Warlock, Mage.
Gnomes: Hunter, Priest.
Nightelves: Mage.
Orcs: Mage.
Trolls: Druid, Warlock.
Tauren: Paladin, Priest.
Undead: Hunter.

Appart from Tauren Paladins, and maybe Nightelf Mages, the rest of the combinations did exist since vanilla, but they were just not playable.
Either way, it's all or nothing, since you cant give the Alliance Shamans, and no Paladins to the Horde.

I might see Tauren and Gnome priests, or Troll druids for lore reasons. But most of the rest have lore that lies beyond what vanilla is about, that also kind of includes troll druids.
I think this would be too much pandering to the screaming minority that just want all kinds of new things that wouldn't add to/benefit the game.

Either way all disscusions will lead to one simple fact: it wasn’t originally in Vanilla, thus it won’t be in Classic. Simple as that. Obviously more race/class combinations i.e. more options is better. But it can’t happen, sadly.

That said, in TBC/Wrath I would’ve appreciated Blood Elf Warriors. But I’ll have to wait long to see official TBC/WoTLK realms... and even then, more race/class combinations didn’t get added until Cata.

Well to be honest even a pure server like ppl want doesn't recreate the experience. Its like having sex the 100th time....its not like the 1st time.

If we get vanilla delivered at all, then it will NOT have any extras.
OR
If there are extras - then by definition we aren't getting Vanilla delivered.

Except Blizzard has stated their GOAL is to recreate the feeling of Classic WoW as close as possible.
They have also stated the have CONSIDERED balancing the classes.

These two quotes alone allow the possibility that WoW: Classic may be different from Vanilla. If they feel a change from Vanilla is warranted, they'll do it. For example, I can see them programming it so Paladin gear doesn't drop for Horde and Shaman gear doesn't drop for the Alliance.

This was actually one of the changes Blizzard made that I enjoyed the most. Playing a Dwarf mage/lock is something I would love to do in Vanilla. Sadly, it won't happen. For 1) because it's not how Classic WoW was, and 2) The lore reasons for allowing Dwarves to be mages and locks was due to Moira bring the Dark Irons into the Alliance. And that didn't happen until her son was born.

(I guess Blizz forgot about that now that Dark Irons are a new allied race... /eyeroll)

Nah, thousands of people Classic to not be Classic - all pretty much coming up with the same lame excuses for their particular desire to change Classic.

Did I say they confirmed class balancing? They have stated they have considered class balancing. They also have stated that they'll attempt to listen to the majority. My point is against people claiming it absolutely won't happened.
