Nigel Farage warming to second EU referendum

So basically the EU Camp wants a do-over because they didn't have complete control over the narrative and the mean old Leave campaign didn't slavishly praise the EU enough. Or at least that is how I see it.

So again, why not have a referendum every two years on it? Since it seems blatantly just the EU wanting a revote until they get the result that suites them.

As a Brit I just want Brexit to be cancelled. Then again I did vote remain.

I mean, I'm already poor... so why would I want to be even poorer?

Oh well, I am learning Swedish for a reason, so my partner and I have a contingency plan in the worst case scenario. But I'm beginning to think we're just going to become a vassal state of the EU (which honestly I'm fine with) because we can't even sort out Ireland let alone Gibraltar or airspace travel or any of the other thousands of issues that Brexit has brought up. Like it or not, we're far too integrated with the EU to ever leave it truly without it causing incredible damage to our economy. We'll be leaving in name only, with blue passports and other meaningless token gestures to placate the more rabid Brexiteers (which is funny because we've been allowed to have blue passports all along).

So the pragmatist in me is praying that real politik comes into play here and that our politicians are pragmatists as well. Have our "Brexit", have a big ceremony, but in the end we're still staying in the single market with FoM and the other EU pillars. Whatever. I just want this shit over.

Now they are apparently joined by the "head rat" Farage himself. The EU, on the other hand, isn't even part of that discussion, nor do we have any power to facilitate any such referendum, that's entirely in the hands of the British. We have moved on, even insisting in the most blunt choice of words that Brexit means Brexit.

I don't see why one is needed. A referendum was had, the results tabulated and the answer given. Why the stalling around for it. Brexit obviously means Brexit, so get on out with it.

It's already been ruled on by the SCOTUS. If Congress wanted to pass new legislation regarding it that's within their purview, provided it doesn't violate other parts of the Constitution. You need to work harder at this gotcha stuff.
