Because he, or at least his lawyer, tried to cover it up, that's why. Because it speaks to who he is as a person, and he's very much the same person today (probably worse, actually) than he was 10 years ago. I don't know about you, but I expect heads of state to not cheat on their spouses, I may just have unreasonable expectations of, "Being a decent human being" or something.
