    New monitor help

    Hey all!
Was in the market for a new monitor, looking at the widescreen models, just so confused. I was hoping some here would have some knowledge and exp. in this.
My budget is around $700 us. Was really wanting to stay in the 32-35 inch range, 1440 res. If others have exp in the lesser resolution I'd be willing to listen. and of course 100 hz or better with a response time of 4ms or less be a bit to ask but I wanted to at least see if anyone has some knowledge.
Also I am using gtx 1080 Gpu

I mainly play wow but of course I play a bunch of other titles also.

Yeah no chance you get a 34 inch screen with 100hz for 700$.
Maybe you are lucky and get a Acer or Asus for 900$ when they are on sale.

Atm they got the Dell Ultrasharp on sale for 770$.

And the Asus is also on sale for 1000$

If you want 21:9 and 34 inch with 100hz+ and a good panel you need to pay 900-1300$.
I was searching a 34 inch screen for 2 years and i gave up on the 100hz+ dream since i own a 1080 too.

I picked then the Samsung C34F791 and iam happy with it.

It was on sale for 600€ but atm i would pick the Dell over the Samsung since the Dell got a better panel.

If you cant spend over 700$ go for the cheaper Dell U3415W.

590$ is a fair price and you get a lot screen for it.

Look for items returned to Amazon by buyers who changed their minds.

I bought my own Acer Predator 34 inc 3440X1440 100 Hz monitor...

    https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator.../dp/B016GNX4SE

...as a return from Amazon.de. Some guy in Southern Germany bought the monitor and then changed his mind and returned it to Amazon.De. I bought my monitor 300 euros cheaper than list price (which was 1299 euros) from Amazon.De. The monitor was in mint condition and it shipped in its own box properly packed.

In short, I got a brand new monitor with no issues 300 euros cheaper b/c someone else had no idea what to buy and was in the habit of buying and returning monitors because he can.

Same does Newegg and you got on amazon hundreds of fake shops that make the search harder.
