Bill in Florida to set daylight savings time all year

A proposed bill in the Florida Senate that would authorize the state to observe daylight saving as the standard time year-round is moving forward.

I've always thought the whole of the country should just switch over to daylight savings time and find the idea of switching back and forth two times a year quite silly. I don't like losing out on daylight when the sun rises an hour or more before I'm usually up and about for the day.

DST completely fucks everything in the fall. It goes from sunset around 6pm, to 5pm, which means I leave for work and it's dark and I come home and it's still dark. They should keep DST year round.

Definitely don’t need it in the states with milder climates. Two states don’t observe it, Arizona and Hawaii.

I hate changing the time twice a year. It is stupid and has no valid reason to do so. Whichever they pick is fine. Just stop the dumb changing!

leaving work at dusk is depressing and my normally shift ends at 4:30 pm. feels like the day is gone when I should have a good 4hrs left.

Technically, you then want to maintain DST, as it starts in the spring.
