    Computer shuts down and reboots.

    Looking for some advise.

Tests i have done so far

Furmark Did over 6 tests and 5 completed and 1 shutdown straight away.
Also did a CPU stress test for over 25 minutes and nothing.(no errors or crash/shutdown)
Memory text (Came back with no errors)
HDD is fine no bad sectors
cleaned inside with compressed canned air
Reinstalled windows 10 with full updates. (clean everything)
CPU and GPU are quite cool.

Its not overheating. I did watch temps with CPUID HWMonitor, and it never hits over 65c when gaming in high settings (Wow 9/10 on settings).
    Card is : RX480 and CPU is i5 3570k.
(No screen problems - all drivers fully updated)
Taken out each memory stick and still the same problem.
Been running normal for over 2 years and its started to happen in the last week.

I can Play Minecraft modded / LoL / GTA V / WoW randomly
It can shutdown within minutes of booting the game OR stay fine for hours.
Error shown i believe in event viewer is Kernal 41.

Got a BIOS update the day before this started happening.

Worked thru issue with Dell tech support

Sudden reboots in various systems is just more fallout from the recently unearthed Intel firmware security flaw.

just wait for next BIOS update from your PC mfg or revert to previous BIOS version.

Do you have a way to test your power supply as all? And how many sticks or RAM do you have? they may pass, but if you have more then one, run the machine with just 1 in at a time and see if it shuts down with any specific stick.

make sure you have it securely plugged into the wall. A loose plug and a little vibration can cause your pc to lose power.

    Check the power supply cables

Like the others said check your voltages

At the top of my head I believe its 12V, 5V, 3.3V.

Anywho I had one that would reboot from time to time and after a lengthy troubleshoot I finally realized the 3.3 was dropping to 3.1 and then it would reboot. I believe the tolerance is +/- 5%

Are the ram chips compatible? I had a computer once that would panic cause of that. I ended up finding out after borrowing a KNOWN compatible stick.

Video cards can also be picky. Any chance you can borrow or use a different one just to test?

The error is just the usual error report for "Unexpected power loss" ignore it, try to see any errors/reports before it.

To clarify 100%, does it shut down, or does it reboot?

Shut down means you have to press the power button to start it, reboot means it simply reboots, they are -not- the same thing when troubleshooting.

Shut down = PSU/Temperatures/Motherboard related 99% of the time.

Random reboot= good luck it can be anything.

Things to do before simply saying its PSU since most things point towards it getting faulty following the troubleshooting you already started.

1)Replug all cables, dont push them, unplug and replug.

2)Reset your BIOS, preferably through a CMOS reset to make sure it didnt randomly get weirdly corrupted and you are experiencing weird voltage values cause of "Green power", happens a few times.

Still persists, find a PSU you can test and start stress testing multiple times with both PSU to see.

Make sure your windows update is not on. As it completely pisses me off unless I turns it off.
