Not really new. Stores in my area have been advertising this for the last year or so.

Seems rather new to me. Just a year old.

But you can get a weeks worth of groceries sitting on your ass. It's nice

Seriously? home delivery from supermarkets has been around for so long here.

Is this really a new thing? been around here as long as i can remember, at least 10+ years.

get hooked up on autismbux, live in a tiny super cheap home with only electricity, get food and water delivered to you. never ever have to leave home.

sounds like a perfectly acceptable life for me.

Depends on the region. In seattle, Safeway delivered groceries ince at least 20095, when I was up there. Here in Texas its more of a recent thing, so I suppose it depends on region density.

Stop doing weird stuff around your keyboard and it won't act weird.

We have a premium supermarket called Albert Heijn. In 2001 they introduced their website and option to buy groceries (and alcohol) online and have it delivered at your chosen day and timeframe.

It's convenient for me whenever I need a large amount of heavy consumables. But for fruit, fish, etc I still rather go to the market. Love the ambiance.

We've used Shipt a couple times, it's nice and they do a good job shopping produce and meat. It's cheaper to just put in our order and do a curb side pick up, so the store employee picks it all out, bags it up and I just drive up after work and load up. Either one is a nice time saver, esp if you have kids and don't want to deal with them in the store.
And I saw, and behold, a pale horse: and he that sat upon him, his name was Death; and Hades followed with him. And there was given unto them authority over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with famine, and with death, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Yeah, I wouldn't either. If it's boxed dry goods sure. Anything with an expiry date/produce never in my life.

This has been a thing for decades. It's nothing new. I've had my groceries delivered for the last 5 years.
