"Cillizza is one example. The upshot of the press coverage is that the Nunes Memo was likely overstated and political. But the idea that bias or anti-Trump animus helped drive the Russia probe remains as a reasonable viewpoint that needs to be accorded some respect amidst the clutter of conflicting claims and reports.

    The reality is different.

This is actually quite black and white. There’s no evidence of politicized intelligence or law enforcement or counter-intelligence work at all. Actually not any. All the evidence is based on false claims, logical fallacies or intentionally misleading representations of how standard law enforcement procedures work. There’s also a high brow version of this which redirects the conversation toward longstanding and legitimate concerns about whether the FISA system is consistent with the rule of law in the first place. This is a grave error which only confuses the situation and makes general considerations about the rule of law into a tool of someone trying to trample on it."

So still no charges Comey or Rosenstein, eh?

Talk about the power of deep state! Poor Nunes is slaving away for nothing!

If you would actually listen to Nunes you would hear he has no animosity toward Rosenstein.

Pretending that opposition wants something and then claiming when they didn't get it means they failed is old trick.

Nunes just happens to be a shill for Trump, and has consistently demonstrated his own bias. Nothing he says should be taken seriously, because he has contradicted himself, and has been refuted and proven wrong by others. Using him as a reliable source would be about as foolish as taking Trump at his word.

And yet he says he has nothing personal against Rosenstein.

So why exactly do people take seriously claims that someone is going to be charged/fired?

Once again, why should we believe him? You are making my case for me. We shouldn't believe him when he makes those claims. Nunes is a proven shill, so anyone who is sane doesn't take him at face value. People are bringing this up to mock the clown. He is the ultimate Yes Man, an eternal brown noser.

You seem to think the people opposed to him actually take his words seriously. Hell, they are waiting for his next "memo," as the last one made him look like a fucking fool.

To mock him you got to assume his "true" intentions - what he supposedly wanted that you're mocking him for not achieving.
And if you're not listening to what he actually says it means you're pulling your assumptions out of your ass.

Once again, what he says is a joke, because he's a known shill. We are mocking him for his "big reveal" blowing up in his face. We are mocking him for being a shitty human being and an outright liar. The guy represents everything that is wrong with DC politics.

His true intentions have been evident for some time, to deflect for this administration. We have the memo, we have him leaking information on the investigation to Trump. Once again, we have his ACTIONS to hold against him.

Seriously, you are doing the same bullshit... trying to deflect. Trump's leg humper just got caught looking like a moron on the national stage. We don't have to be fair to him, he's a disingenuous twit. When someone demonstrates dishonesty, there is no obligation to be nice, to be civil, or to be fair.

Your comment makes about as much sense as getting pissed off when someone catches a street hustler screwing people out of money, then telling people to not trust the street hustler. Seriously, you are being absurd.

So it seems the reason the FBI is upset is because there were people in the FBI working with the clinton campaign so they could spy on the trump campaign. And Carter Page was there cover for doing so. So its political espionage where one political candidate uses the FBI to spy on her opponent. With help from the obama administration and the DOJ.

    #CrookedHillary.

Seems a Senate Memo is on the way.

Right so you would think it ok if in the past you worked with a foreign government but havent had any meaningful communications in the past few years. You think its ok for the goverment to say well he did it in the past so he must be doing it now even though we have zero proof hes even communicated with Russian contacts in the past 6 months. But hey lets spy on him anyway and tap his phones. Oh hey we picked up conversations he had with trump about their campaign strategy oh well better shove that over to Hillary oh wait I mean classified....

Truly appalling, Hillary should be impeached at once.

She should be in jail for mishandling classified information.

There is absolutely zero evidence for this. And no, your feverish delusions based off of what we know to be an inaccurate memo don't count. Neither do delusions and extrapolations about Grassley's Senate letter.

On that note, so should Trump. He revealed classified information to a hostile foreign government, where the United States was not the originator of that intelligence. Send them both to prison.

So far Democrat claims of threat to FBI/DoJ and security have been proven to be farce as well.

It is farce with more then one actor.

Who would have imagined that wieners weinergate would start the whole downfall of Hillary Clinton, the dnc, the fbi and the justice department. Guess he wishes he had kept it in his pants.

Here's what I don't get... some people think that the mere fact that anti-Trump sentiment created a movement to find dirt on Trump, and thus found dirt which eventually led to this investigation... is a bad thing.

Oppositions research has always been a thing. Whoever runs opposition research on you is your opponent, and is thus anti-you. The fact that they found something potentially illegal (rather than something like just a racey affair) shouldn't be downplayed simply because it was found by opposition research.

But that's literally what Trumpkins are arguing, that Trump should be let off the hook because the investigation was spurred on when opposition research... found something illegal going on.

The fact that people are actually thinking this way blows my mind.
2014 Gamergate: "If you want games without hyper sexualized female characters and representation, then learn to code!"
2023: "What's with all these massively successful games with ugly (realistic) women? How could this have happened?!"

So very much this. The zealots seem to think that when you find something illegal it's only admissible when you don't hate the person. Sorry, Orangettes, but illegal things are still illegal and anyone caught doing them should be punished, even your orange Tic-tac god.
