Question what would you do if you had the power to...

either see three days into the future or go three days into the past what would you choose and what would you use it for? the rules are as follows:
1.if you go into the past you can ONLY STOP YOURSELF from doing any ONE action. this would not create any alternative universes but merely change your current situation.
    2. in both cases you would be returned to the EXACT moment when you initially choose to either go back in time or go into the future.
    3. if you chose to go into the FUTURE you could ONLY USE IT FOR LEGAL PURPOSES. no getting rich from predicting stocks, stealing future tech none of that would travel back with you or be able to be seen. you could only use it for a purpose that would have a positive effect on your life.
    4. THIS IS A HYPOTHETICAL THAT IS COMPLETELY REMOVED FROM THE REALITY OF ACTUAL TIME TRAVEL AND IF IT'S EVEN POSSIBLE. THIS IS JUST A FOR FUN WHAT IF SCENARIO SO DON'T TAKE IT SERIOUSLY. looking at you spoilsports of mmo-c.
    5. you cannot use it to prevent yourself from existing either.

The future option seems terrible considering you can't use it to make money which would have a positive effect on your life.

I guess I'd use the past to prevent myself from ever being injured and any non instant deaths.

Future. Being able to know situations beforehand is an immensely powerful tool. I would absolutely be the CEO of my company if that power was mine and I could see our client's needs/use beforehand. Or know exactly where we will have issues days in advance.

From a logistics point of view, planning would be at the highest level efficiency.

from the description given at start it seems it's a single issue forecast only. means perhaps you cannot monitor all clients or prevent only one deal gone sour later.
still enough for your purposes ?

Go back about an hour and slap myself for browsing MMO-champion rather than doing my homework. Really the further back I go the more chance of horrible negative consequences on the timestream so this is obviously the best choice.

Yes. I only have a handful of clients assigned to my division anyway. Of them, only one is tough to predict how they want the data delivered and what quotas they are looking for. Just knowing our demo break for each portfolio a week to three days out changes dramatically who I can contact for OS and field support. Knowing that would guarantee at least 3 successes per quarterly portfolio out of 5. That would be spectacular.

Being able to go back into the past would be like having a Skyrim F5 key.

I would choose future, and create a gambling platform where you can bet on one of N amount of people dying within the next three days. At first it wouldn't really get off the ground but when people realize one of the listed people always dies within three days It would become a thing because people are morbid like that.

    I'd also become a short-term fortune teller.

Nether. I do not want to mess with anything in the past , because it might mean things would be worse now. Too risky. The future holds some risks also. I would not want to miss out on some of the joys I will have had. I am happy in the present. And I am not afraid of the future, because I have tried to plan for it. The past, I have already learned some good lessons from it.

Damn it, I clicked the wrong one, I meant the future, I would go to the future about 10.000 years if I could.

Past. Assuming you can keep going back as many times as you want but only changing 1 action. I would just live 3 days at a time. I would make a massive choice/Gamble, let it play out for 3 days, then jump back and change it if it didn't work out.

and just do that over and over until desired result.

I did read the rules, and it's not illegal to create a gambling platform where you beforehand know the results as long as you don't use it to the disadvantage of the customers neither is it illegal to be a fortune-teller. Only thing dubious would be the dead people thing, but I'd be hard for people to prove I'd be actually involved in the deaths of random dead people.

Would it have a positive effect on my life? Who knows, but same goes for everything else said. Unless we'd be able to travel further and see more nobody is going to be able to answer that.

Be able to go/see into the future pretty much means that you wouldn't have to back into the past to change your actions, since you wouldn't make wrong decision if you know in advance what's coming.

of what use is time travel then for you ? point 5 prevents you from doing that in your past.

I think I'd probably choose being able to see the future. I thought about doing the past, but then I think about how many things could change if I keep trying to correct things I deem to be wrong in some way. I'd probably go overboard figuring out which thing I should correct, whether it was something I did/didn't and said/didn't say.

I'd look into the future to just ensure I didn't make any sort of grave mistakes or horribly stupid blunders, then I'd return to the present and just move about my day.

Actually it is not. They do it all the time in church bingo events. And the lotteries is certainly legal. Golf skin games is gambling, but they are very wide spread.
