I think there is widespread agreement that Legion is one of the best expansions or iterations of the game, particularly after a number of below-par expansions. WoW is back to its 2009-2010 peak! Good job Blizzard!

However, there is similar agreement that WoD is the worst expansion. Let's hope BFA is not a return to a filler expansion

While I loved The Burning Crusade when I was 14 I have absolutely no interest in revisiting it ever again.

Wotlk was the best for me. Amazing raids, the world was alive, community etc etc.
I loved tbc, but I was too young to raid properly. I did manage to get down KT and a few bosses casually as a 13 year old though, and these + Wotlk kills felt better than anything else after that. The hype, story, work being put in.
The game was really good up Cata came - lvling was slow but fun, lots of people, pvp and just goofing around. Bit low on solo content (compared to legion, fuking hell)

Legion isn't too bad, and I liked the zones of the 3 ladt xpacs quite a bit.
The game will never be the same with this rush - infested community, lfr and lfd, which is convenient but has killed the game imo.

Oh what id so to play in good old days, were a name was a big thing, being known on the server due to gear, achievements and guild, and server reputation being a thing. Always something to do, even without the experience, just because people knee about the guild etc.

Now... Not so much. No curve no fun.

Also miss the old talents, where you could choose freely. Lvling felt accomplishing and actually useful. Now its just a boring job

Legion managed to appeal to people on pretty much every skill level, and that was a bit frightening to some of us Mythic raiders because we're pretty spoiled, but for the health of the game overall it's a good thing.

Do you guys really not care that they butchered class design?

I play BM hunter, elemental shammy and holy paladin and think Blizz nailed "tons of pets specialist", "fucktons of lightnings shitting all around" and "holy warrior with bigass hammer healing teammates in melee zone" designs. Cant say about other classes and specs though.

Of those, I only really disliked Warlords and Cata because the only good things in both those expansions was raiding. People shit on Dragon Soul all the time as if it was the only raid in the fucking expansion. Firelands was great and BWD had heaps of hella fun gimmicky bosses. You ain't getting shit like the gong boss again. I also actually liked the world rework, even if everyone bitches about it now. The old questing system was shit in terms of actually leveling alts efficiently. I know that's not something most people care about but by the amount of bitchfittery about the latest 'rework' of XP balancing and shit going on, maybe more people care about it than I thought.

1- MoP - Beautiful world, simple yet engaging lore, great new civilizations to explore, back to the roots with the faction conflict, Throne of Thunder is my #1 raid.
2- Legion - M+, just generally a shitload of things to do, Demon Hunters are awesome. Gameplay carries this one, lore was shit.
3- WotLK
4- Cata - Dragon Soul was a shit raid, and doing it for a year was soul-crushing. Thrall as a character was murdered.
5- BC - Don't like it. Shit leveling, shit raids. Flying was the only good thing about it.
6- Classic - Looking back today, a piece of literal, stinking crap.
7- WoD - Lol
