Sylvanas: "We must secure a future for our Horde children."

Wew Blizz. Literal genocide and land-grabbing for living space.

Who is writing this expansion's storyline because that is some edgy, edgy plot..

Survival is a bitch in a world created by war and magic?

So what, we are at war it is called world of warcraft, I recognize with The Burning Legion and temporary truce between Alliance and Horde, but as someone who has only ever been Horde, I don't blame Sylvannas.

What she supposed to do twittle her thumbs put her hair in pigtails and go "Oh well"?

As I said now that the burning legion is no more, our common threat is over. We are not friends and never were.

Yeah I gotta agree, even when Varian died and Sylvanna's called back the Horde, people are losing their cookies, and I am thinking "So What" she is Horde, they aren't under any undying obligation to the Alliance after said threat to them or for them has been eliminated. I am for the Alliance but Sylvanna's made the right call.

I'm saying its poor writing to go with THAT reason exactly.

Plus we've already been through this with Garrosh.

KALIMDOR FOR THE ELVES, KHAZ MODAN FOR THE DWARVES, LORDAERON FOR EVERYBODY!

Everybody says there is this RACE problem. Everybody says this RACE problem will be solved when the living pour into EVERY undead country and ONLY into undead countries.

The Undercity and Brill are just as crowded as Ironforge or Darnassus, but nobody says Ironforge or Darnassus will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of humans and quote assimilating unquote with them.

Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY undead country and ONLY undead countries to be “laid down to rest,” i.e., exterminated, by all those living people.

What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of undead were brought into EVERY living country and ONLY into living countries?

How long would it take anyone to realize I’m not talking about a RACE problem. I am talking about the Final solution to the LIVING problem?

And how long would it take any sane living man to notice this and what kind of psycho living man wouldn’t object to this?

But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the undead race, the Argent Dawn and respectable Forsaken agree that I am a lichkingwhowantstokillsixmillionlivingpeople.

They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-undead.
    Anti-racist is a code word for anti-undead.
The shadowy Daughter of Urthona stood before red Orc,

His food she brought in iron baskets, his drink in cups of iron:
    Crown'd with a helmet and dark hair the nameless female stood;

    Well, isn't alliance doing same?

People's obsession with Sylvanas is so cringe. We are playing video game...about war..between different races - Since Warcraft 1.

And honestly, I would prefer if Horde would be more aggressive(or alliance, I don't care), because while war is presented in some story elements, it is not much in the game - which is shame.

And nobody in this thread asked "Since when Sylvanas cares about Kalimdor Horde?"

Seriously I'm suprprised nobody found it very unfitting for Sylvanas to say. All she cared for was her herself and eventually her Forsaken. Going to another continent to fight for orcs, tauren and trolls is just... seriously, am I missing something? What the literal hell?

I think Sylvanas is, and has been, an unreliable narrator. Her actions at the Broken Shore, for example, where she leaves her Forsaken behind to cover her retreat while carrying Vol'Jin is a perfect example. She talks a lot about how she doesn't care, but then very clearly does care. Even back in BC she drops her locket claiming not to care, then summons a couple of banshees to sing a lament in thalassian.

Being forced into the spotlight and into a position of duty to the Horde could be what forces her to admit to herself that she cares.

I eagerly await Before the Storm.

Thousands times yes. The plot doesn't make any sense. If primal reasoning behind burning of Teldrassil is indeed isolating Horde to Kalimdor. When did Sylvanas decide it's okay to sacrifice Forsaken for the "future of horde children" ? Perhaps emergence of Desolate Council has something to do with it. I don't like it one bit.

Sylvanas always cared about "her people", now the whole Horde is "her people".

She sounds like any facist politician. Stoking fear to gain popularity and support.

Which makes sense to me. Sylvanas would not be popular with the Horde. There needs to be a bridge on why the average member of the Horde would follow her to war other than “because Vol’jin said so”.

Are you worried that the march of the undead will inspire UKIP to attack Ireland for some more lebensraum?

I think took Vol'Jin only because he was Warchief, if she didn't do it there could've been grim consequences for her. She didn't like him nor respected him (maybe to some small degree, he was still troll to her after all).

So yea I believe it was just a cover. "Caring Sylvanas" sounds really silly to me, when I still see PiT of Saron instance where she didn't bother to save Horde troops, not only that once they failed to take down scourge lord she called them "pathetic weaklings". So yea I don't buy it.

    Sylvanas:

Now, as sudden as the last, a third memory. "Rightful heirs of Lordaeron!" Sylvanas called out, holding her bow aloft. Her forearm, still slender and muscular, was now a shade of blue-gray. Dead. The scene was very different now. This vision had the cold sheen of a memory lived after death. Before her waited a grotesque, quivering mass of corpses, their armor piecemeal, their bodies broken, the stench unimaginable. Their plaintive, desperate gazes reminded her suddenly of children. They disgusted her. But their need empowered her. "The Lich King falters. Your will is your own. Are you to be outcasts now in your own land? Or do we embrace the cruel cards fate has dealt us and retake our place in this world?"

""But what of the humans?" a young alchemist asked as the din faded. Sylvanas recognized him from the previous night's fighting. A cool intelligence flickered in his eye sockets: Lydon was his name. Already he'd come to embrace his situation, referring to humans as if they were a separate race; she made a mental note to make use of him.

"The humans will serve their purpose," she answered, her mind already calculating. "They believe they are liberating the city. Let them fight on our behalf and spend themselves for our gain. They are"—she stumbled upon an analogy she'd used before—"arrows in our quiver."

The heaving mass of undead clapped and coughed and hacked gleefully in assent. Sylvanas regarded the whole mob coldly. And so are you, she thought to herself. Arrows I will aim at Arthas's heart."
    [...]

No more would she be the vengeful leader of a mongrel race of rotted corpses.
Her work was done, and her long-denied reward awaited her. Longing for that forgotten bliss, she allowed herself to fall backward from the top of Icecrown Citadel. The wind rushed past her, a growing wail. The pinnacle, and the silent Val'kyr at its peak, disappeared…

    This is Sylvanas.
She uses her own people for her purpose, she uses the Horde for her purpose.

So to all the Sylvanas fanbois, firstly read her story then start to argue.
