So she has a point, but as usual she said it in her no chill Sylvanas way.

This does start to make sense when you read more into it because Saurfang does seem to have a death wish now and even he tried to solo the fucking Burning Legion at the broken shore in the Horde warrior questline.

Saurfang is very useful to Sylvanas and she doesnt want to see him dead especially seeing how she still needs a strong Orc leader to keep the Orcs in check and fighting fit.

Yeah, it looks to me Sylvanas just lost her cool with Saurfang, nothing more. Orcish aggressive way of battle is the opposite of elven retreat tactics Sylvanas used against Arthas, so Saurfang being difficult in such a crucial situation is undoubtably annoying to her.

Especially considering it was saurfang that sent his son to lead the fight at the wrath gate because he couldn't stand the idea of garrosh leading the fight.

He's old, something rare for an Orc and in some warrior cultures was seen as a bit shameful don't know if it's the same in wow Orcs but it was sometimes seen as not fighting hard enough.

He's also Probly got severe survivors regret. The number of brothers he's Probly seen die from befor WC1 to now must be a heavy burden.

Then throw in him losing his only son and it being partly his fault as he was the commander who ordered him to lead the wrath gate.

Yea I think he has a right to want to seek his glorious death. Tbh for an Orc like him it would be the ultimate insult to die of old age shifting him self in a bed unable to even stand.

The brainwashed Sylvanas fanboys will end up hating anything that presents even the slightest opposition to her character. If that means an honorable character like Saurfang gets to take the fall for it, then so be it.

How would she know though? She's never had an honorable Death.

Not to be a Sylvanas apologist, but what Arthas did to her was arguably worse than rape. He didn't just rip her body apart. He did that. But then? Instead of killing her? He ripped her soul apart and made it unable to find peace again (barring a solution not known to us at this time).

Sylvanas has had to walk back from that entire road. Are her tactics questionable and evil? Yes. Does she deserve death at the Alliance's hands for her atrocities? Absolutely. But she's also intimately familiar with what real suffering is like, and she also knows there's some nasty stuff out there. I think the writers for Sylvanas should take her in a arc akin to Alleria. Alleria sought the Void out for knowledge. Sylvanas has been sent to swim in it.

I think being bodily and emotionally scarred is natural for her. I think her evolution and coming past that is when she finds a solution to recovering what Arthas took from her and the Forsaken. What ends that will lead to I don't know, but I know the Forsaken are coming to a point where they need a story resolution like the Blood Elves did, or there is no justification for them as a playable race.
