I worry there isn't enough principled conservatives to form a valid political party. It is how we let those loud racist edgelords in in the first place. Two days ago I was driving home from work, and this random, well dressed dude was out on the street waving a sign about how much he hated Muslims. Donald Trump has made it acceptable to do that. I really don't know where we go from here, it is going to take a long time before conservatives can move past this.

The Democratic party might end up becoming an alliance of the left and right against right wing populism. I'm ok with that in the short term. I may disagree with Democrats on many things, but disagreements is all it amounts to. I fucking loathe the Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlsons types, but I don't loathe Elizabeth Warren.

I'll gladly re-register as a republican when conservatives reclaim their principles, but not until they do.

To be fair its more the venue maintaining insurance requirements then CPAC, but of course those deep red states gov buildings have the same rules but not the venue hangup.
