New fat/thin models, will they be playable?

Those new models look sick, will they ever be playable? blizzard kind of gave an answer, that making all the old amours fit the new models would be too "expensive", but they also implemented Pandaren which nullify that same statement because as we saw Pandaren can use all the old amours and they look crap on them, supper stretched chestplate, crap looking legs, etc. As for the costs of making the new amours models for that many races being to "expensive", it's bullshit, players pay 15€ a month to play the game, they make more than enough money to do it, and the art team in wow is amazing.

edit - No idea why real life PC shit is showing up in the comments, but don't post about it I (like most people) don't give a fuck if you're fat or thin, it's a game, and this is about the possible player models not real life issues.

Monetary expense isn't the only way something can be "expensive". Time is a commodity when making a game on a timeline.

I hope not but sadly fat people are always offended in this weird time of forced political correctness.

Depends really. I have a feeling they are holding off on Thin Female Models. Mostly since the behemoth landwhales of the internet would start with the "MUH BODY POSITIVITY"

I am more interested in whether or not these will be playable.

    Hope so.
Kultiran are definitely going to be playable. There's no reason they'd create models for males AND females, made to wear player gear, with various different hairstyles.
The thin humans don't have females but they could still be in development. I have a harder time understanding where they come from or how they could be implemented, but it's a possibility. They seem to have some of the same beards and hairstyles as kultiran and are gear ready. I would say it's very likely they become playable.

I wouldn't mind the big models, honestly.. Maybe they are for the testing, we had an old 'big' model in Wrath as well as TBC, I believe?
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..

I don’t know if you have been outside ever, but the current human female model is the thin model.

doubtful. will likely get some line about how difficult it would be to make armor work for the new models. as if they dont just stretch images all the time anyway

They do not have the functionality of player models - they are not set up for 3D armor pieces, cloaks or most helmets, and they have none of the player animations or advanced customization options.

Vrykul, even back in WotLK had males and females, customizable features and equippable gear. That doesn't really mean a thing.

Well I've always been asking for more customizable options for our characters and having them be fatter or skinnier were some of the options I wanted. Maybe this is a start? I'm really liking the look of those pot belly muscle guys. I'd love to make a character like that and make him a hunter or something.

I don't put it past blizzard not making thin females for they can virtue signal about how progressive they are about not allowing players to play thin females.

Pretty sure those were old alpha vanilla models they brought back just for shits and giggles for the few npcs they used them for.

I wouldn't mind a little change of pace, but those thin models look rather..off putting to me.

"Hero", is what they've all been saying. This world, it isn't worth the saving."

This is the first build of alpha, assuming they're going to be playable it's still unlikely that things like fitting 3d armor geosets would have been done at this stage anyway.
Lorewise the horde and the alliance go to zuldazar and kultiras, respectively, to gather allies and their massive fleets. The horde are getting zandalari, it makes sense the alliance get kultirans.

Vrykul weren't introduced in an expansion where allied races was a main feature. BfA is.

I think the chubby Kul tiran model looks pretty dope, would definitely play one of those, but damn the thin humans look creepy and ugly as hell

Have you guys read anything about what was said during Blizzcon before posting? They have said the Kultiran humans would be playable.

There is no similarity in shape between a fat person and a whale. Fat people are more similar to a farm pig or a hippo than a whale.
Most whales look lean and tall

Hopefully not. The option to make skinnier or obese characters should either come for all races at once or for no races at all(fat orcs, fat night elves, fat blood elves and skinny tauren should be a thing too, otherwise it looks ridiculous to only have humans that differ in size). The way datamining went, it sadly seems that they will be.
