Hello! I wonder how many people here use Insta If you are among them, explain why have you created an account? In addition, why do you think some people have so many followers?

I use it for my internet projects, if the project has a visual component. I've gotten most of my audience from instagram.
Anything visual is good, like if you're a pretty girl. (which i'm not)

Not yet but I think I’ll get it to send naughty pictures to my girlfriend.
Milli Vanilli, Bigger than Elvis
Nah, it's for women tbh.
Nothing wrong with that either.
Nope, seems like another social media tool that was never designed to accomodate how it's currently used.
Nope. Its owned by Facebook. I have some issues with the way Facebook conducts business, especially how it handles data. The idea of Instagram is fine though. Culture and owner though...I'll pass.
Resident Cosplay Progressive
No... unless someone can tell me why I need to? I don't see it's purpose outside of another social media vanity project like twitter and Facebook.

Your name will carry on through generations, and will never be forgotten.
I only use it for work. Lately very few clients have had interest in it though.

Hey! Long time lurker, decided to log in again just for this topic..
I do infact use Instagram, i use it as a promotion tool tho. I'm a beginning Skydiver and i use it to promote myself and the sport.
The reason for that is simple, in my country (Holland) the sport itself is really unknown and there is a nasty stigma on it. The video's/picture's i post are realistic compared to the Youtube basejump stuff you find!

I had one when Instagram released like 7 years ago but I deleted it now. It's useless for me.
It's less about something being "for kids" and more about a technology that us older folks didn't grow up with. You see a much higher rate of adoption for social media with the younger generations.
I'm older than him, and from a different part of the world, but I can say with some confidence that many men my age aren't comfortable with "selfie culture" or what we consider to be over-sharing. It's just a generational difference, nothing negative about it.
Used to. Until they changed the algorithm and it now shows stuff in a stupid fucking order. Like a picture from 8 days ago from someone I rarely liked will be the second or third thing on a scroll down. It’s just annoying to me that it’s not newest photos from people I follow
