    Lightbulb [hero concept] vol'jin - melle assassin/spec warcraft

    I have not seen any post here about Hero Concepts , but I would like to share an idea of one of the heroes that in my opinion are missing in HotS.

    I made this concept based on the Shadow Hunter class and its Loas, trying to put all the class fantasy in the Heroi trying to represent the great Vol'jin.

    Please leave your opinions!

    Q: LEGBA´S SWIFTNESS
    * VOL´JIN´s Basic Attack deals damage in a wide area and reduce the Attack Speed of Heroes and Summons by 40% for 2 seconds. Lasts 4 seconds once triggered.
    W: RUSH´KAH MASK
    * Gain 4% bonus Attack Speed and 2% Move Speed for each soul consumede in Soul for Bwonsambi for 6 seconds. Nearby allies gain half of the bonus.
    E: LUKOU´S BLESS
    * Heal target ally for 200 plus 100 for each soul consumede in Soul for Bwonsambi (+4% per level) Health.
    R1: DAMBALA´S POISON
    * Deal 200 damage plus 150 damage for each soul consumede in Soul for Bwonsambi (+4% per level) to a target enemy Hero over 10 seconds.
    R2: OGOUN´S HEX
    * Polymorph a target for 2 seconds plus 0.5 second for each soul consumede in Soul for Bwonsambi, Slowing their Movement Speed by 25% and Silencing them. Targets are not able to attack while Polymorphed.
    D: SOULS FOR BWONSAMDI
    * Every Minion and Hero killed near you grants 1 stack of SOULS FOR BWONSAMDI.

    Okay couple things - for one, your scaling is WAY off. One stack per minion killed? Thats seven stacks per wave. Clear two waves then you'll rock up to a teamfight and CC someone for NINE SECONDS with R2. Clear four waves and it's 16 seconds...

    The other scalings are crazy as well. 0-100 someone with the heal, or 100-0 someone with a single R1, if you farm a bit before each fight (if you ever take it, because the R2 is so wildly and utterly broken in power).

    Which then brings onto the second point - if all his abilities gain power by consuming built stacks from minion deaths, then it stands that he could only be tuned around probably having reasonable stacks at the outset of fights. Which means his base numbers would be low. Which would then mean he turns up to a fight, uses ONE ABILITY, then does basically nothing because all stacks are now gone. What happens when he dies? Does he lose all stacks? Do you have a pre-rework Butcher situation where if you died, you were basically useless until you spent time farming again? Cuz thats what I'm seeing here.

    Third... why does he have a heal? You've listed him as assassin/specialist, while most of the kit is pure assassin, and then for some reason he's given a direct heal as well? Doesn't fit at all.

    The loa aspects are always a good idea with troll concepts. Some of the ideas are pretty good - I like the concept of building trait stacks to funnel into empowering his abilities - but this current incarnation isn't very functional.

    You're right!
    Maybe allowing a maximum of 6 stack for Trait could help, or maybe 1 stack for every 3 minions. Great spot! I'll improve this!

    About LUKOU´S BLESS, its because of the thematic issue of what each Blessing that the Loas give. As for a Shadow Hunter and for Voodoo magic of warcraft healing is part of its functions in the tribe, I thought it would lose its character if I did not put a healing skill or not mention a Loa, and Lokou give to Shadow hunters the healing skills... But really few Heros have healing out of Suport's role (Zul'jin, ETC, ..)

    The problem is with him being able to heal allies. You end up with a Tyrande situation, where the hero is in constant limbo in terms of power level.

    Especially with numbers, as the Nikkaszal very well said.

    ... Shadow Hunters canonically cast healing spells to aid their allies. It fits, therefore it works.

    I'm not entirely happy with any of them. I just can't seem to find the motivation to fix them though.

    Looks like he'll do nothing for 2 years and then die like an ameteur the one time he actually shows up to a fight.
