How far behind Demonic is Chaos Blades?

Just curious as I'm struggling to get that damn ring or helm right now, it's actually becoming a stressful time LOL.

I have 2pc T21 and every legendary except helm and ring...

Is it possible to play Demonic WITHOUT the ring/helm or is it just a pointless idea and are we better off sticking to CB? that's directed at Raids and Dungeons...

CB falls behind with T21. Your best option with CB though is running shoulders/ring. It also performs a little better when supporting it with the traditional Demonic build - Blind Fury, Demonic Appetite, etc. Chaos Blades is the preferred talent choice for Kin'Garoth however you may find some niche uses for it elsewhere too. That being said, Demonic is generally a much better all-around pick for almost every situation including all M+ and most raid encounters.

At 972-975 eq. with 83 traits and 4pc t21 here are my sim results to give you an idea.

3311333 Demonic with Shoulders/Ring 2.43m
3311333 Demonic with Helm/Ring 2.42m
3311331 CB with shoulders/ring 2.37m
2211331 CB with shoulders/ring 2.17M

For Demonic, Shoulders/Ring vs Helm/Ring largely comes down to preference and what your replacement pieces of gear are. Both are viable, though each fight there might be a preferable option due to fight length.

Can't you just sim it yourself with the gear you have instead of letting others do the job for you?

Not really. In the Legion world of titan forging and NLC no 2 toons are the same. So blanket statements are traps at the best of times. Not knowing what content they are doing creates some issues too.

You play Chaos Blades over Demonic with T21:

1) on Kin'garoth (except if you're assigned to dps the lone add and you don't have any Unleashed Demons relics)

2) on single target encounters with a favourable fight length, generally sub-3 minute (2:40ish being ideal). At the moment this is mainly restricted to heroic; e.g. heroic Garothi or Varimathras. It's likely possible to get the right timings on mythic Garothi in the very fastest kills as well, but kill times are generally not short enough on mythic to use CB yet.
Another example of the use of CB was early progression on Argus when it was difficult to meet the p1 DPS check (and even cinidaria could be useful there). Generally speaking though this isn't much of an issue nowadays.

And in case it wasn't clear - the spec used is exactly the same as the usual Demonic spec, except it uses Chaos Blades of course. It's generally played with Shoulders + Anger but in your case you can likely get similar results with a bit of luck and Sephuz + Shoulders.
T21 4pc is of course extremely strong for both CB and Demonic so try to get that as soon as you can.

Being a doctor is actually easier to achieve over here.. majority of vet students drop out and become doctors instead as its an easier pass. My class of 12 completed as a class of 3

Do every content you can to at least get aothg.
CB build isn't that far behind demonic, that's right (I get similar results as the guy above: 2.4m t21 demonic /2.1x with CB T20)
But then again: CB build without aothg is a pita. I highly doubt you get 2min metas without 2 or 3 meta relics.
Plus downtimes would be an issue.

Yeah. Fury is a nightmare without that ring.. I'm clearing lfr, norm, hc, caches, daily hc, m15 weekly but nothing yet! hopefully soon
