LF regular PvP players to participate in RP-WPvP in June (WPVP fight in Feralas).
Greetings (Ishnu-al-dieb),
A few RP guilds (from MG and WRA) are looking for non-RP players to help bolster their numbers for a WPvP-RP event in the middle of June. We're looking to acquire a total of 25-30 (50-60 total) players on both sides. Players that have both Alliance and Horde max level characters that can switch between the factions to balance the numbers will be most appreciated.
Once Warmode goes live with the BFA launch we plan to do more of these events (on a smaller scale) on a regular basis after most people have hit max level (4-6 weeks after BFA launch).
The event is planned to take place in Feralas, starting at this location mid-way between Camp Ataya and Feathermoon Stronghold.
Once the fighting starts, there will be no RP, just a straight up slug-fest to the last man; however, there will be a short 3-5 minute RP prelude before the fighting begins.
People who wish to participate from non-RP servers will have to remain patient for a few minutes until the fighting begins and will have to march/stand in a formation before the fighting starts. Once we start fighting though, go wild!
1: No flying mounts.
2: There will be a total of five battle locations between Camp Ataya and Feathermoon Stronghold.
3: Horde's objective to kill Shandris is more difficult than Alliance's objective to push Horde back to camp Ataya, so some sort of resurrection/respawn restrictions will be imposed upon the Alliance players if the Horde reaches Shandris.
4: We wish to retain a 1:4 healer-to-dps ratio (1 healer per 5 players in the raid on both sides).
5: When one group wipes, we all resurrect and begin fighting at the new battle location, creating a tug-of-war. See the map image below (explanation of map points after photo):
The chokepoints at locations A, B and B2 (or C and C2 respectively) will have to be captured/won by the opposing faction before proceeding to the final location.
In the RP, if the one of the factions captures B (horde) or captures C (alliance), then a secondary horde/alliance force will be marching from Stonemaul or Dreamer's Rest to attack Feathermoon/Ataya from the other side.
If a faction captures both B and B2 (or C and C2), they will have two opportunities to attack Feathermoon/Ataya (so if they wipe the first time, they get a second chance). However, if they only succeed to capture B/C but fail to capture B2/C2, then they will only get one chance at attacking Feathermoon/Ataya. Also, B2/C2 will be more difficult to capture because the aggressor has to cross the bridge (jumping into water or flying around it will not be allowed).
Also, if the faction who wins at location A then fails to capture B/C, then the fight will return to location A. Thus, there may be a tug-of-war between C-A-B for quite some time; however, once B/C is captured, the tug of war ends, and after the fight at B2/C2 reaches it's conclusion, we move onto Feathermoon/Ataya. (In other words, once B2/C2 is captured, there's no going back and the defenders/aggressors are set in stone for the RP).
There will be RP between the the hotspot transitions, thus non RP-er's will have to remain calm and play along somewhat between these fights.
