New of each sounds really awesome. If announced simultaneously, then I would guess that they must be from a similar original universe. Maybe we will see a Warcraft Hero with Alterac Valley or Warsong Gultch. Thoughts?

So, with the Heroes team's ability to innovate, I could see something like Warsong Gultch actually working. Imagine a map that would be akin to Towers of Doom (i.e., the objective does damage to the core rather than Heroes directly). You could have it where each time someone from your team captures the enemy flag, your base shoots a cannonball at the enemy core. Dealing x number of shots will lead the team to victory.

As for someone to pair that map with: I could foresee the team releasing Vol'jin as a pseudo-support (think Tyrande), Anduin as a multi-class like his father, or even Mekgineer Thermaplug as an assassin/specialist.

.... I really do not want another Specialist.

"A Brazilian site TecMundo post early today about new hero and map of HOTS (rapidly deleted).

New Hero is YREL, with a kind of Retribution Paladin kit.

New Map is Alterac Pass, a tematic warcraft map, with 2 generals (like alterac), some knights and bosses.

New Warcraft event, choose one side, Horde or Alliance.

They posted images of map, with orc thematic towers, etc, but i closed the page to lurk on reddit about info, but dont find anything here, tried to back to site but is deleted.

I dont know if the post of TecMundo is a fake, but really look's "believable" to me.

They posted Yrel Kit, with Charging Basic Abilities (You can hold button to intensifies effects of skills as a movement cost while holding) and ult with some kind of Protective Consacration."


I wouldn't mind this, though opening a Warcraft event with Yrel instead of someone like Anduin (who I expect to come out with this event) is odd. If it is a HvA event, my bets are after Yrel are either Saurfang and/or Gallywix for our Horde character(s)and then Anduin for the final one, alongside a potential Sylvanas rework.

Because while it's a neat idea, they have fuck-all clue as to how to make it work. They seem to be incredibly opposed to having you pick your class at level 1 and now Varian gets his ult at 4 and has non-ults at 10. It's a fucking mess. He should just pick a specc at 1 and then at 10 gets an 'upgrade'. For instance, Sword And Board could give him a sword/shield with increased health and armor and then at 10 he gets the taunt. Similar with the other two ults/speccs.

But that'd make too much sense so they won't do that. I guess they want Varian to have some time to pick his class but that's really fucking stupid just have it be at level 1, god damn.

I can see this as plausible. For one, we haven't had a WoW like map released (I think?), and for two: We don't have ANY draenai in the game as of yet. I actually mentioned this the other day to someone I was playing HoTS with.

They're not removing or changing him (I believe). They're just removing multi-class as a hero type (since Varian's been the only one for like, what? Two years now or something?) and they probably won't make anymore heroes like Varian.
