Oh and OP, we've had additional loot boxes since WOD now on the regular, so you've got timewalking, you've got your 4 mythics and get a piece of heroic raid loot, you've got order hall missions...and the M+ weekly cache. I don't think we're gonna see a huge change from this one little thing.
Also I would bank on relinquished gear making a return in BFA so even more reason not to be that stressed out over this.
Who says they have.... You aren't looking at the big picture.
In MOP you could buy more than 2 coins from the vendor each week but you didn't have timewalking (which gives a bonus roll for the quest), the order hall mission (which gives a bonus roll for the 200% bonus) or the nether disruptor which sometimes gives 3 free bonus rolls.
On top of all these added sources of bonus rolls that have been added since MOP, who is to say that there aren't going to be other new ways added that we just aren't aware of yet ? It wouldn't suprise me if they added other more interesting ways to get extra bonus rolls than just buying them all from a vendor. Perhaps there will be 1 in your weekly mythic plus chest or 1 from the final boss of a raid tier for example.
I would be happy ifd they just went back to a currency system like Valor or Justice. Hell even the wakening essence system that allows you to get something. But Ion loves his Excessive RNG because to him RNG is content

Thats a lot of assumption for a expansion they have already shown to be taking more choices away then adding
Non nobis Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam
And we also have the nether disruptor giving out 3 free bonus rolls sometimes.
We also have no idea what other new ways to get extra bonus roll might be added in BFA. This change might have been made not to reduce the number of coins you can get each week but rather to keep the number you can get each week the same as is currently the case in Legion with the addition in BFA of new more interesting sources than the vendor.
If they keep with Legion and WOD and the weekly world Boss drops loot thats better then LFR or as good as normal, then I see more people keeping one of their rolls a week just for that and maybe doing less raiding
Non nobis Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam
Good, I wish they’d get rid of the system altogether. You can get heroic Antorus loot from doing an order hall quest or weekly quest that can titanforge anyway
I would agree, but Thats not the direction they have been taking for a while now. Epics are no longer epics but they have been handing gear out like candy. Not that 99% of it was really any good. To suddenly stop that and reverse course would have drastic consequences for the game. It would have to be something they did slowly.
I guess there is always a chance that Seals will be sold for cash in the cash shop lol... I laugh but the possibility is not far fetched
Non nobis Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam
Which you wont get unless you clear a certain boss on Heroic. And most people do not raid past LFR.
OT: On the one hand, there are fewer slots to gear as the azerite pieces will be locked and cant TF so maybe Blizzard feels justified in reducing the potential throughput of the token system. On the other hand this looks like a blatant attempt to stretch MAU numbers via slower gearing. This decision must appeal greatly to Ion's "must slow everything down" approach to game design.
Having one less coin is hardly going to slow down the gearing process, lol. Stop with the hyperbole.
They could say anything, you just need to think outside of the box for once. Clue: there's already been a few suggestions in this thread...

Now you are just being ridiculous, and pretty sure you're just trolling at this point.
Yeah with all the rolls I have done with coins I have had about a 85% roll AP, 10% roll something I already have or find useless and 5% something actually useful. But as we all know we always went nuts the first few weeks when it came to rolls, and would end up with none left for later on in the raid.. This time around people will have to really think out what gear they want to go after..
And seeing that they can be saved up is still good even though it is only 5 instead of 6 I suppose it is better than nothing..
Exactly they should never have introduced them, as we can see now there are those whinging about losing 1 bonus roll a week..

I believe he was talking about the "go to this raid and kill this boss" table mission.
And for bfa, it was my understanding that M+ will not award Azerite pieces. Even if they do, Blizzard has explicitly stated that Azerite pieces will not TF. Also, the TF proc rate has supposedly been reduced.

One less chance at gear is still one less chance. You might not think its a lot but for some people who have to maximize their time to try and gear up it could mean a great deal. It also depends on uldir , how many bosses there are and how many chances to get gear. if they have reduced the amount of gear available becaise of Azurite armor, it can mean a great deal. it all seems to be a way to slow down peoples progression .. And the cash shop thing was a joke, but its not out of the real of possibility.
