Quick question: Do we download latest version Weak Auras and import or just slap it on our version (I think there is no 8.0.1 ver atm).

There is a Version for 8.0.1, its WA 2.6.0. I just updated it via the twitch app.

This is my complete 8.0.1 Pre-Patch and Battle for Azeroth All Rogues WeakAuras Ultimate Package. This is currently a work in progress so I'll make sure to update them with upcomming changes and feedbacks. They cover, Assassination, Outlaw and Subtlety.
