I'm a level 30 arcane mage trying out war mode and I'm being camped by a level 20 hunter.
Am I missing something here or this actually how things are supposed to play out?

Does he have heirlooms and you don't? Cuz I can see that happening if that's the case...

No he wasn’t in any heirlooms and I am in heirlooms
He had some kind of warmoged gear though. Lower overall ilvl

...hmmm... I have no idea. Probably something to do with the new scaling and stat squish. When I lvld my mage I was attacked by high lvl players, but me and other lowbies (above 100, not 110) beat them. So it's a lil' werid atm

Any player can beat any player, it's a test of 'skill' basically. Or that's what Blizzard intended anyways. So if you can outfight him, you can beat him. If you can't, then you are kinda screwed.

Probably just class balance, I don't think there is any scaling at that level.
