Apparently, the most powerful banshee on Azeroth can give em a run for his money. Building up a character and a character not being the most powerful are not related...not even a little bit. I'm sorry that you can handle a story someone else is writing not going the way Y O U wanted it to.
And for what it's worth, I like Malfurion, but it's clear his got more than a little bit of plot armor, as well as being so powerful that he's been useless in literally every fight we've seen him in since he woke up.

I think it's fairly obviously that malfurion is balance......

I was referring to the health pools pre cheap shot, actually.
But:
So, slyvanas + 2 unnamed rangers > the most powerful druid on earth? That makes it....better? I guess? hah
Well although i would go tyrande hands down due to her Elune tramp card gotta admit that Saurfang'scleave bringing down malfie from 33% to 1% durinng the scenario was impressive
Tyrande wins - she won in the novella (and those are more canon in lore than the actual game - referring to an argument on the last page). Something like Elune daggers or something surrounding Saurfang, knocking him into the ground and so on. Tyrande absolutely dominated Saurfang, and if Saurfang wanted to actually fight, I'd still go with Tyrande.
Regarding the Light and Shadow debate, whoever said Light is usage of will is correct - Ask CDev confirmed this:
Can you please explain how "light" works? The lore states that undead are physically incapable of using the light, much like the Broken, but then we have Forsaken players casting healing spells, and Sir Zeliek in Naxxramas using pseudo-paladin abilities.
Without spoiling too much, we can tell you that wielding the Light is a matter of having willpower or faith in one's own ability to do it. That's why there are evil paladins (for example, the Scarlet Crusade and Arthas before he took up Frostmourne). For the undead (and Forsaken), this requires such a great deal of willpower that it is exceedingly rare, especially since it is self-destructive. When undead channel the Light, it feels (to them) as if their entire bodies are being consumed in righteous fire. Forsaken healed by the Light (whether the healer is Forsaken or not) are effectively cauterized by the effect: sure, the wound is healed, but the healing effect is cripplingly painful. Thus, Forsaken priests are beings of unwavering willpower; Forsaken (and death knight) tanks suffer nobly when they have priest and paladin healers in the group; and Sir Zeliek REALLY hates himself.
Thus, Light comes from willpower - the stronger your willpower is, the better. There's no stance on Shadow, however, and it is up for interpretation.
Dunno what you are on about. Just go watch the questline.I was referring to the health pools pre cheap shot, actually.

Tyrande is the goddess Elune's "chosen one" , Saurfang would never be able to kill her.
I've been reading this thread and your comments, and you're as biased as it can get. Your location does give it away to some extent.
It was quite cringy really how you're trying to defend Saurfang taking this.
Tyrande would easily take this, yes she has Elune at her side but that's part of who she is. You could call it cheap or bad writing or whatever, but dude just stop trying to defend Saurfang here, he would get decimated. Even without Elune she'd totally own Saurfang in that situation.
Saurfang has hardly any accolades, he was put into the game so Horde players would have a npc to turn in Onyxia's head.
To add to what Wildmoon said, the Horde chain was similar. I actually had to check Wildmoon's vid because I thought Alliance version differs, but that part was basically the ame; I'm pretty sure in the Horde version I did, Sylvanas was also on her knees (with all the corpses around) while Malfurion was standing when the player character arrived.

Don't get me wrong. Saurfang is a great character. But the interaction between Tyrande and him made him look VERY weak. He put feelings in front of actions - on enemy territory. How are people looking up to Saurfang after the burning of the world tree?
As much as I like Saurfang, he had little to no chance against Tyrande
The main question here is...What travels faster a cleave or an arrow?
Its hinted in the Elegy novella that saurfang would have been dead instantly if he picked up a fight as Tyrande was empowered by sweet Elune juice.
