Changes of getting a build today? Isn't the PTR not even playable yet?

I'd bet on tomorrow, Tuesday's build is traditional.

    I believe so:

    - 8.X patches - new storylines and open world content, stuff like new warfronts/islands, new dungeons/zones (if there are any on that chapter)
    - 8.X.5 patches - evergreen content (brawlers, timewalking, stuff like Chromie), unlocking raids and probably 2 Allied Races.

    I'd say Tuesday or Thursday.

Did they say Brawlers is happening this year?

This all sounds great. The biggest thing imo is the mob spawning change. Thats going to make them feel far less claustriphobic.
This might sound great but IE are still horrible. Nothing and I really mean nothing that Blizzard will or can do is going to save this feature simply because the gameplay is incredibly dull and boring.

    They can change the gameplay?

They didn't manage to design it properly or change it during alpha/beta (there was a ton of feedback and criticism). And they'd be capable of changing it now, in a (content) patch? Not going to happen honestly. This feature gets removed after BfA so why even bother.

Well, changing the spawn points, adding more random events and king of the hill-like objectives are essentially changing IE gameplay. Nowadays it's an AoE fest, because the spawn points are everywhere, but with less mobs and more random events it will change how they play.

I think Cavern Expeditions is a great idea when Blizzard drastically improves gameplay. What I meant to say is that the BfA version of IE is never going to carry over into the next expansion. Rather something similar to the Garrisons -> Order Hall transition.

The problem imho is still "get more Azerite than the opponent" which is basically the core of it all and thus being an unsolveable problem in BfA.

Yeah, I guess I can see where you are coming from. I think if we could properly explore the islands it would be cooler, but I do like that this is a bite-sized fast paced feature.

The Expedition is changed to reward a fixed amount of Azerite during the entire course of the event. To win you need 60 % of the Azerite that the Island can offer. When you kill the enemy NPCs you don't just gain Azerite, you steal Azerite and vice versa.

Instantly you are both forced to explore the Island fully to get every last bit of Azerite and forced to content with the enemy team since you will likely need to kill them to gain some of the Azerite they are carrying.
Or it could just be a search for the biggest azerite node, with the smaller ones providing a few buffs, and you have to control the big one king of the hill style.

Hm... you are right about that, what if we add several control points? Let's say 5, and you can only claim them back for a limited time, after this, all the azerite is mined and you move on to the next. The NPC's that you rescue could provide you by securing other points and the team that gets 3 locations win?

Maybe different isles have different objectives too? One is control points, others are escorting a big azerite load, others might be exactly as you described?

No one knows for sure but a new build that fixes login issues due to file errors would be a big help though.

Sadly I do not see any Rogue changes for patch 8.1 because WoW devs are focused on shamans and shadow priests for this patch cycle. Hopefully they can address other classes like Rogue in patch 8.1.5/8.2.

Alright, PTR has been installed and sub runs out in two weeks.

If 8.1 makes next to no fixes to the core systems of BfA it's not getting refreshed.

So far patch 8.1 has more addition to core system than fixes. Island Expeditions changes are probably the most bold so far but it is very early in the PTR cycle.
