Chaos Strike crits for 5k WITH Dark Slash?

Isnt 5k Chaos Strike crits a bit low for a finisher and WITH Dark Slash?

Im having lots of fun with Demon Hunter on Battlegrounds.
Im only 310 item level though.

But is this normal? It feels really underwhelming in PvP.

Chaos Stike is hitting like a wet noodle
Im talking about CRITS of our finisher spell...doing 5k damage. A CRIT.

Needs buff or i am just uneducated?
I hear DH is doing great in PvE...so im afraid we will see no buffs for PvP

Im probably missing something though...

I figured out what is wrong:
-Chaos Strike is a 2hit spell meaning it hits 2 times with a single press of a button

PvPs a bit weird..... IDK what they should be, I've had mine crit for 10-12k in pve though (full buffs, pot, meta and nem)

That is kinda low.... considering I can crit for about 40k on the Shaman dunno if that's considered low or high... but certainly a lot higher than 5k!

Im so confused right now...

Is it the scaling system that is making me kill other players?

Maybe a 5k happears in my screen but on the enemy side is a 10k?
Because of scaling in PvP?

I just realized i did 108 Chaos Strikes in that Battleground lool
I did almost as many CS as Auto attacks

Correct me if i'm mistaken, but if i remember correctly chaos strike hits twice, 8k-10k is ok for an instant non-cooldown based spell it is almost 10% of a players HP.

I mean you're 310. Your character is practically naked. If you go play the game for 2-3 hours you'll be 335-340 and then you can look at numbers in a way that makes sense. Seems absurd to make this post when youre 35 itemlevels below a reasonable gear level.

Chaos Strike is a two part attack, once with each glaive, and also gear matters now, so at 310 ilvl you will be hitting considerably less than a 340 ilvl dh.

With scaling is not that bad.
Im killing other players with 110k health no problem sometimes
Probably because of the scaling system ^_^

Im ilvl 340 on my main char.
My Demon Hunter is almost a fresh 120 with only 2 epicx from Freehold.

Chaos strike does infact hit twice but very often the numbers do not display properly to reflect a double hit, so it looks like you're just doing 5k. That being said, your Ilvl is super low AND to my understand first blood is way, way better than dark slash AND is nicely paired with trail of ruin for even more pressure. Dark slash may need some fixing to be sure.
