Why stop there? Start limiting dungeon loot too. Too easy to farm!

I did, but apparently, she doesn’t care, so I tried mmo-champion and it seems like you do! Thanks.

The only problem here their lack of communication and clarity.

How bad are you that you consider 340 gear "the best gear"

  5. #25
Warfronts should have no ilevel requirements at all. You don't need gear to gather wood and iron and your recruited troops do the damage to the mobs anyway. The only purpose for warfronts is to gear alts, i doubt anyone runs warfronts beyond their usefulness just for "fun".

Yeah, some sort of lockout would be fine(or just don't make it guaranteed).

Changing the ilvl would do nothing good; 320 is a perfectly reasonable level for roughly 15 ilvl upgrades from the Heroic dungeon gear.
I mean, they drop gear on par with standard Mythic, so it's not exactly game-breaking.

Instead, they should change loot chance to once per day.
You can run it as much as you want each day, but one loot chance should be it.
They drop gear on par with standard Mythic dungeons and LFR, which are weekly lockouts but are also always available, so with the toggle of the back and forth between factions, a daily lockout on loot would be reasonable in that it effectively offers 7 chances at loot until your faction loses control.
If they made loot once a day, then I wouldn't be opposed to the removal of ilvl requirement.
    I mean, a 290 can gather wood just as well as a 370. /shrug

PS in their current state and the general pug/queue scene, they won't get better.
Without real coordination, these are just 30 minutes of people doing whatever until you win.
Yes, they are easier than LFR, and that's a different problem.
In the absence of real, coordinated Warfronts in the vein of raiding normal/heroic/mythic, they are just a week of free purples.
If they actually introduce difficulty levels for coordinated groups, they would be more involving and possibly more fun.
No idea if that's in the cards, but as they are right now, it's basically a loot pinata that needs stifled to once a day.

Than what would be the point of warfront? Without better gear loot i mean. I can only join once to see what it is like and never do again even with alts?

  10. #30
I agree! Just like lfr should require 355!

Wow, i'd actually rather have blizz making decisions over this guy. That's just bad.

Fresh 120 rushes world boss, rushes couple of dungeons = boom 320, next destination warfront (if you're horde atm).

Also why controlling faction has so little to do? Just rares, boring quests and wait 2 weeks for reset? Sound awful, meanwhile horde gears up alts and gets them freebies.

Something is really messed up here. The progression felt good at the beginning, after Warfronts everything became too easy.
    340 is "best gear"? lol.

I think they're worried about waiting times - which is why the barrier of entry was set very low (and initially not at all, even if they say it was a bug) and the rewards encourage repeating them.

They're not very challenging or interesting content, so there is a very real risk of any significant barrier to entry (or lack of motivation to run them multiple times) causing queue times to explode, which would be hugely embarrasing for a core expansion feature.

I think they had plans for Warfronts to be more than this, but ran out of time and/or resources, so we're left with this bizzare Arathi Warfront, that's really just a scenario and a rush-job open world zone. Hopefully the reason the other Warfronts have been postponed is to spend the time and development bandwidth necessary to make them proper content. Everything about this one screams "saving face" by bribing players into doing it by making the rewards extremely attractive to many players.

They pitched us an RTS-like experience: build up the base, train troops, lead them against the enemy, gain resources, upgrade base and/or troops, then destroy the enemy base and kill the commander.

They gave us a scenario where the actions of the player barely matter and it's mostly a long slog against numerous grunts and some high health heroes. There's no difficulty, everything is extremely predictable and player cooperation is not required.

This feels like the LFR-version of what they wanted to deliver.

U realize that players, who have time to play MMORPG, are abusing Warfronts for ez gear? It ruins the natural progression.
340 is not close to heroic/mythic... heroic is 370...

It's DUNGEON loot. You can do Mythic 0s that reward 340s at like 290-300 ilevel, why do you care?

Warfonts shouldn't drop any loot, period. You go there to see the amazing content and fight between your faction and some other npcs, while the other faction can't do anything about it, and doesn't even care too much, probably. There is not even an ingame warning "ALLIANCE PLYERS THE HORDE IS ATTACKING STORMGARDE! HIDE YOUR WIVES!" nothing.

That is a sound argument, actually. XD
Appreciate your time with friends and family while they're here. Don't wait until they're gone to tell them what they mean to you.
