Any Guide for breaking into RBG scene?

    Hey,
I have been playing WoW on and off for better part of the last 1.5 decade.
I've never really been interested in PvP. I did some AV every now and then, but still.

BFA is really getting me more intested in PvP. I mean it helps with gearing and it is actually quite enjoyable.
I have been pretty good with killing people and dishing out dmg to priority targets and target switching. But I have been having some problems with strategies in RBG.
Seems like I am a bit out of the loop in terms of what I should do.
I would ask but PvP people are a bit more.... agressive about noob asking question than PvE (or from what i've experienced so far). I feel like barrier to entry is a bit higher than PvE. (not saying PvP community is worse. If we wipe in PvE, it is just a reset or worst case a key downgrade, but if we lose in PvP, it is a rating loss. So it makes sense people are more invested).

I know it is a lot about situational awareness and shotcalling and stuff, but is there any guide of some sort for basic strategy for each RBG so I know what to look for to get the situational awareness?

or if you want to just give me a lesson in comments, im okay with that too.

    Thanks in advance.

Yeah, start your own groups and lead them to victory. Plenty of videos on rbg strats also

There are also guild that require 2.2k+ rating in any bracker. yea ratings earned 5 years ago doesnt matter and there are a lot of ppl 1800 legion 2.2k+ mop but it's still better than pure casual guilds.

If you want to make own group you first must understand current meta compositions. It;s easier if ppl actually know their roles else you must tell DH tank to get flag and rogues to go solo escort mine cart. Leaind rbg groups can be frustating

I've never had any interest in rated bgs, all the fun comes from the randomness, the unpredictability of random bgs. Doing rated would be like doing raiding, where everyone has to be super coordinated to have any chance of succeeding. That would suck all the joy out of it for someone like me who likes to do his own thing while contributing to the win.

And thats fine, random bgs are there for you. Rated bgs are for those that want to work in a organized group

My best advice for anyone starting out in bgs, not just rated is - the map is your friend, i don't mean the full sized map or the mini map in the corner both are pretty useless, but pretty much forever bg's have had instance maps (not too sure the exact name), little tiny versions of the full sized map that can sit in the corner of your screen and show you where your team is and who is in combat.
