"Please stop chatting. Make this fast"
So this is what some dude said in party chat in the middle of a mythic dungeon of group content, online, in an MMORPG game.

When did it become unacceptable to chat with your party?

It was just too funny to not share

Eh not all that funny really.

Some people just wanna get it done, and do not think you are the most funniest charming person to ever grace the land

Is it mythic+? You are on a timer, in that case.

When you start wasting the group's time in a timed instance, that is when it becomes unacceptable. As someone else noted, just use voice chat so you aren't taking time out of performing your rotation while talking.

I'd understand him if it was a m+, but a regular mythic? Get a grip.

I always put ''Chill run, ragers will be kicked'' in my descriptions. I want chill people who does it more for fun etc.

But if it was a M+, I understand it more since then you should go fast for the timer and not waste time.

If you're sitting around chatting rather than doing anything, that's fair. If you're talking for a minute or two at the start or some shit while flying over, that's fine. If you're discussing a pull or something someone's not clear about, that's fine as well. Didn't know Bursting worked on the little blobs in Shrine of the Storm and that was a fun pull when we found that out. I don't want people jibberjabbing rather than clearing the fucking dungeon forever though.

depends. there is a difference between the gogogo mindset (horror) and 1 or 2 players moving/pulling/doing stuff slow as a turtle (also horror). can not say what the case was here. but this coin also has 2 sides. both have the potential to make me crazy.

I get that you think whatever is coming out of your brain is actually entertaining, but people want to get the content done. Talk in whispers after, add the person you're talking to on bnet, etc. But while in the content, not many people give a fuck to hear you talk while it's an inconvenience to them

Funny things get laughs. Nothing about this was funny. The OP was annoyed. That's what he should have said. It's like when ppl say "LOL" when they're pissed off and not laughing at all.

Are you kidding me...! This was not a mythic + dungeon. We weren't wasting anyone's time. No significant increase in time for the clear, at all.

It's sad to see how many people just don't enjoy the game or the MMO aspects of the game. It's all just a bore-chore to get the loot as fast as possible, so you can farm more m+ dungeons quicker and do your raid once a week.

I mean, I get his sentiment, but it's not up to him to dictate that for the entire party.

I also sometimes just want to get stuff done, though.

I can totaly see the poor guy having barely just enough time for one mythic before going to work and his frustration when group stops after every pack to chit chat

Tell me, does your character run all the time or do you rp-walk everywhere? This is an RPG after all? :-)
Of course. Don't you? I also take pauses for my character to catch his breath. Way to blow the entire thing out of proportion.

Probably OP is one of those who can't stop talking for a minute and someone had enough of it.

Give yourself a pat on the shoulder. Personal attacks for no reason whatsoever.

LOL. I'm actually surprised of how many people seem to be personally offended by people who chat in an MMO. Get a grip on yourself.

WotLK made heroics so easy that there was little to no time for chatting - no waiting for mana regen, no waiting for resses or corpse runs, no waiting for the tank to mark or compose themselves for the next pull etc. This turned dungeons from something that would take some time to something you could rush through and gave some people the expectation that they should be done as quickly as possible.
