Mike morhaime is smart he left before his company went straight to shit.
I don't feel sorry for these guys. The big Diablo announcement is a reskin of an existing Netease game, and when a fan of a franchise that is primarily PC-based asked, "Any plans for a PC release?" the answer is not "What? Don't you guys have phones?"
Of course we have phones you fucking troglodyte. Jesus fucking Christ jackhammering St. Paul and giving St. Thomas a Cleveland Steamer, that isn't the point. You made a big deal out of a Blizzcon announcement, and what you give us is an existing game you repainted with Diablo 3 assets because it was easy and you saw how much money even the laziest pay-a-dollar-for-literally-everything shitheap mobile game can make.
Congrats, Diablo Team. You Metal Gear Survive'd yourself.
Be seeing you guys on Bloodsail Buccaneers NA!
I feel for you diablo fans, but it can get much worse. Why do I know this?
I'm a dungeon keeper fan.

Just to clear it up:
He DID NOT get escorted out. He was still in and "enjoyed" the panels.
Source: He was posting on reddit. Even with proof pic.

Explain? He had every right to ask that of the company that had been hyping up a large announcement and is known for almost exclusively developing for the PC.
He had every right to be upset about this slap in the face, reskin, low effort, mobile game.
It has been 6....years. They could have AT LEAST TOLD US something else was in development. But no. We get.....this.
He is a hero, and someone at Blizzcon needs to buy him a drink.

Ill let you in on a secret:
Its not the developers who get to decide what they showcase. That decision gets pushed down to them by higher ups. Do you think Wyatt wanted to get sent out on the main stage during the closing session of the opening ceremony with a noose around his neck to showcase this disaster?
They didn't have a major announcement this year worth closing the opening ceremony with. I think they would have gotten less backlash if they just mentioned that D4 was in development but they weren't ready to showcase anything and just left it at that, and just announced Immortals as a little side feature that people could play "while on mobile"

Yeah I feel bad for Wyatt.
He was responsible for RoS and fixing the mistakes that were made with early D3. He is clearly someone who does care about Diablo. But the executives and other higher ups forced this onto him...and now people will drag him through the mud when he is really the victim.

Honestly, a simple .jpg with diablo and 4 in it would have suffice to save this shit show of a blizzcon..
That was pretty awkward, I admit this Diablo thing was a real let down but it's not nice to see the guy that has to face it all squirm especially when he isn't the guy at the top making the decisions.
