Most serious injury you have ever had in your life?

    For me

I have broken my leg twice , both times in football matches.

Stepped on something conical, roughly the size and shape of the end of a pencil, but it didn't go all the way in. The subsequent infection started well into the foot and it turned out to be a nasty one. Not MSRA, but similarly antibiotic resistant. It went gangrenous and necrosis reached the bones in my foot. I lost four toes, went through eight operations, and spent roughly seven months in and out (mainly in) of hospitals.

It could have been much worse, I had to put family and close friends on notice that I might not make it because the infection was racing up my leg. The infection turned out to be such a beast to treat that I had to switch hospitals and get even more specialized doctors involved. It took the director of a specialized burn clinic to clean things up and whip the infection, but burn clinics do not screw around when treating infections.

This is also the answer to "bungee, how did you spend 2018" and "bungee, weren't you about to get married"?
With COVID-19 making its impact on our lives, I have decided that I shall hang in there for my remaining days, skip some meals, try to get children to experiment with making henna patterns on their skin, and plant some trees. You know -- live, fast, dye young, and leave a pretty copse. I feel like I may not have that quite right.

I've been pretty lucky there. All my life, all of my injuries have been minor ones (stuff like banging a knee/elbow on a desk, standard cuts or bruises, etc). I've never broken a bone or anything.

I worked in a restaurant for a few years and had a few accidents involving knives. Most were minor and required no more than some alcohol and Band-Aids. I managed to slice a pretty good line down my left hand once, and that one was bad enough to require a trip to the walk-in clinic. The nurse there used some kind of liquid bandage spray (I had no idea there was such a thing until then) on it, so I didn't need stitches.

Walking two small doggos. Random lady with a huge dog came up behind us. Little dogs were surprised. Ran behind me to try protecting against big dog. Arms were attached holding leash and were taken with them... instant torn rotator cuffs... about it

I fell while i was free climbing( about 100 feet) when i was 17, broke my pelvis basically in half 6 places, broke 2 metatarsals (foot bones), My elbow the bone peeled like an orange would.

I tried to roll out of the impact which is why the injuries were mostly on the right side, the specialist said that the roll most likely saved my life or prevented having worse injuries since people don't usually survive falls from that height.

My right hip will still hurt to this day if i sit cross legged and of course i get the phantom pain talking about it. I bounced back fairly fast though as one does at 17, I was still able to play soccer for my university although I do wonder if i might have been able to go professional if i hadnt fallen. The nightmares of the fall took a decade to subside and I'm very wary of heights to this day, even a ladder

Running through a glass door and slicing the side of my elbow open to where muscle/fat was hanging out.

Movies never portray that properly, glass will fuck you up.

The bones in my big toe got broken in half lenghtwise after a run-in with a lawnmower (old kind, which did not have an engine). That hurt.

Healthwise worst was probably a rather serious infection I got during service in the armed forces. Took ~3 weeks to get well from that.

Never broken a bone, but I came pretty close to fucking up my eyesight entirely. Was wearing monthly contact lenses while testing a new ammunition type in the military, turns out the gass from it is quite toxic and made people inhaling it sick. Lucky me got this stuff into my contacts where it did damage overnight. Had three week-long rounds of antibiotics and generally painful eyes, luckily the only lasting effect was oversensitive eyes, fixed by switching to glasses.

Does complication from childbirth count? I lost a lot of blood due to it and if they wouldn't have been able to stop the bleeding I could have died.

Almost bled to death when I had an accident while in a motocross race... had half of my forearm from the wrist down lacerated from the chain of another bike. Got a long scar with permanent nerve damage in my hand. Thankfully didn't affect motorskills of said hand, but it's completely numb to pain.

Last Action Hero portrayed that between fantasy and reality.

Eye injury. Nearly lost my sight in one eye. Luckily didn't, but the iris is shattered (not noticeable by naked eye) and thus works somewhat slower than the other intact one.

Broken right arm by falling at a bike path to a sports center, went 2 weeks before people listened to me that I had pains in my arm, suddenly rushed to the hospital and found out it was broken but luckily, slowly, healing correctly. So was treated thereafter.

Injury means like, damage as broken something or would that mean injury by illness too?
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..

    - Year old. Running and tripped. Hit kerbstone. 3 stitches to the forehead, just above brow.
    - Seven years old. Riding a bike downhill. Front wheel got into rain made groove. Rammed solid metal fence pole (no fence, just pole remained) instead of passing it by safely. Bike torn apart and mangled. Broken arm right after wrist. 3 stitches to the chin. Massive bruise to my abdomen since I flipped over the steering.
    - Early 20s. Clearing garden, digging trenches (lol) for a drainage. Spine disc slipped. 2 weeks in bed. Took few years to recover. Still aching when I try to pick up heavy stuff.
    - Mid 30s. Doing heavy garage clean up. I used broom so intensively it broke in my hand. Metal pipe that worked as a stick bent and broke open, then closed on my thumb. Acted like jaws almost biting off skin from my thumb. 3 stitches to the inside part of thumb.

Not counting any lesser bruises, scars I got at various occasions. Like I once dived bit too close to lake's bottom and got cut by a sharp stone. It left long mark on my belly. Or when I was jumping off of branch and other broken branch got under my shirt, leaving nasty scar from left kidney to right shoulder, across my back.

Stepped on something sharp. It left a cut in the bottom of my foot, but there was no bleeding, so I thought it was alright and let it be. Over two days it got worse, to the point I could no longer step on it at all. Ended up being hospitalized for three nights. I recovered fully, but it left me paranoid af about little cuts.
Now you see it. Now you don't.

    But was where Dalaran?

I was a premature birth. My lungs collapsed while in the incubator. The nurses noticed the alarm to late and I was 26 minutes without oxygen. It resulted in heavy brain damage, I was paralyzed on my right side and my sense of pain was severely damaged.
Thanks to a very good pediatrician, I got the right therapy and didn't ended up in a wheelchair. My sense of pain is sometimes still a bit sketchy. If I don't pay attention, I feel no pain, no matter the injury. But if I expect pain, it hurts a lot more.
