Everyone doesn't need to, you are correct, but if People are so obsessed with progression they don't need to complain about having to do Content they personally don't like by implying that it is bad content.

Warfronts were basically promoted as Expansion feature, so yeah, not enjoying them due various reasons is a legit criticism.
Just deflecting that by saying "well don't do it" doesn't help, Warfronts aren't fun to quite a few people, that is the point.

Second, "obsessed" is the wrong word here, we're not talking about about people feeling forced into PvP due the rewards, which is a much bigger time investment.

People complaining they have to do something so trivial to get such a high upgrade are just pathetic.

The reward in my opinion is the secondary issue, the content not being fun is the primary one.

Warfronts may not be engaging content, but to just blatantly say that there is nothing you could do to speed things up is just false.

This. Saying you can't do anything to contribute and make it go faster is a lie. Saying you can solo the Warfront and only take 2 more minutes than the full group is a lie.

There is always something to do, even if it's not engaging content. Even just helping kill shit will speed progress up by taking over enemy locations faster, therefore reaching the boss faster, which results in getting your precious 400 faster. Boring or not, you can always contribute to speeding it up. If you just stand there doing nothing, you deserve to get kicked and replaced by someone else who will contribute more than you do. Why should I carry you to your free gear?

I always find it amusing how people will complain about welfare gear and LFR heroes, but then they can't put in the smallest of efforts to speed up a Warfront to get their own wellfare gear, and instead make use of the very people they chastise to feed their own laziness.

Despite the obvious ridicule the OP provoked for feeling s/he has to engage in content s/he does not enjoy......i think most players would agree that WFs are not great content. They have enormous amounts of downtime. There is nothing you can improve at. There is no variety. You Q up, you thott along the exact same path every single time, there is almost no chance to fail at it.

They are litterally easier than pet battles. Yes, they are. They really are. Why do i not get HC ilvl once every 3-4 weeks for doing pet battles? I feel i should, as Pet Battles are more demanding and also controversial content that not everybody enjoys. For those who don't like Pet Battles...nobody would be forcing them to do it.

Hunting rares, taking the lumber camp early in Darkshore, solo pushing multiple bosses, solo pushing past the robots to clear the shore camp early.

So since everyone has to do the new warfront again because it provides a free ilvl 400 item, I just figured out why warfonts are the worst content in mmo history.

The warfont takes about 20 minutes to complete and there is not much you can do to speed it up. An efficient player like me would think to himself "Nothing I do here matters so i'll just go afk for that time and do something more productive like making my taxes or cutting my toenails" but here comes the issue: The LFR Police!

Some lowlifes are always checking the map and if you arent in immediate proximity the the rest of the group you'll get called out and kicked. Kinda like it is in Island expeditions. LFR-Hero number 1 sees that you arent close to him and therefore you have to be kicked although you are basically clearing the Island by yourself.
Of course in the case of the wafront you are really afk.

What I am trying to say is:

There is nothing to do inside the warfont. It is just a waiting game. But you also cannot be afk for that waiting game because you'll get kicked. So you have to do something but there isnt anything to do. This is how I imagine Hell, hence the title.

It sounds like you are the reason warfronts are so slow.

Warfronts are essentially "LFR battlegrounds" so they're pretty bad since way too easy, but on the other hand you need exactly this level of easiness to allow everyone to participate in it. You've written yourself how completely clueless some players are (e.g. kickvoting those who contribute something). They wouldn't be able to manage anything much higher than that.

Low-end WoW is generally like a ghetto. The only right path is not to live in it (and if you visit it, make it a quick visit and don't think about it too much).

That said, there will be Heroic Warfronts in an upcoming patch, those will still be easy (akin to Normal mode) but not as easy as the current ones. This might lead to more drama as now you have not just idiots in it, but idiots who additionally can't all handle the content anymore. But it might also lead to some more interesting warfronts if the amount of idiots is low enough.

Are warfronts well-made or even fun? Seems like most people say no. But if you're gonna be a dick and afk in 'em and make the thing go slower, I sure as shit will do my best to get you kicked. There's always some small bit you can do to make it smoother and even a tiny bit faster.

Pretty sure it auto kicks you after being afk for a specific time.

However if you were coming back every couple of minutes to avoid it then yeah you deserved the kick. No questions asked.

If everyone in warfronts contributed and pushed shit that mattered they do in fact speed up. Problem is people like yourself OP and those who don't understand what needs to be pushed and when that slows the whole thing down.
