Nobody wants redemption, nobody wants change, they just want to bully and cause suffering. It's better just to try and focus on yourself instead of criticizing others for character flaws.

Guy 1: "I'm a Christian and I don't like gays you fucking faggot."
All of these examples are offensive though lol. I've actually done the inverse of the first one, she was pregnant and I didn't realize because 1. she's fat and 2. she always wears hoodies but I managed to play it off

Something that I have noticed is what poster Boomzy mentions in post #122 and I've begun thinking of it as an real problem, because how on earth will you be able to ever have an intelligent conversation about difficult subjects or engage in an actual discourse if people constantly "win" the argument by taking something you say out of its context (usually)? And twist your words around to make what you said sound offensive, and while doing that automatically slap one of those labels on you - which then dehumanize you and invalidates everything you say in their eyes? Attacking your person then becomes alright, even sometimes "the right" thing to do according to some.
It is also dangerous to do this to groups of people, to group them up like that based on their opinions, and then judge their worth as a human being by them.

Your examples are moronic, and your title and poll don't match.

I don't care about any of that shit. I remember opening the door for a lady to let her in first just because I was being nice and she got offended so I slid past and slam that motherfucka in her face and kept my stride. I got no more time for this shit. How the fuck does me being a kind imply I was being anything other then a kind person I don't understand and I won't try to understand anymore. Do any of ya'll got time for that type of shit?

People like to feel superior to others, and nothing is better than being a morally superior individual. It also helps to dehumanize the other, as they are simply a racist/bigot/homophobe/whatever. It kills discussion and makes everything into an ultimatum where you are either with a side, or you are their enemy. Being in the middle is no longer acceptable. And this is only made worse by mob-mentality, and people forming bubbles where arguments and shunned and agreement praised.

Now for your examples, they are more of personal situations. First one is just the first person being rude as fuck, so fuck em. Second one is a perfect example of the whole "us vs you" situation. And the first one is just another bigot. Now, except for the first one, I really don't believe this situations actually happen in real life, and if they do it must be astronomically rare. I personally think that mob mentality through things such as Twitter is way more dangerous than these small encounters.

In a perfect world, nothing would bother us and everything would be peachy.
But our current reality makes it so that we as humans, have different personalities and life experiences.
What offends you, might not offend the next person.
Instead of complaining about it, just accept the fact that some people will be offended, and just live your life instead!

Every human has the right to be offended and hurt by anything they choose, it's nobody right to say the shouldn't be offended by something or that they should be. We should always be aware of what we are saying and doing that may cause offence to someone, thats being a good person and if we all think that way the worlds a better place.
The whole being offended on someone else's behalf is where society is falling over. On the flip-side, treat other people like you wish to be treated and a lot of it goes away.

I grew up in the early internet generation where nothing was "toxic" and you needed a fairly thick skin. I don't really like playing with gamers <30 because they tend to be riddled with mental illness like many people in this thread.

Boomzy made literally thousands of posts defending nazis. There's the problem here. I am not sure if the people in this thread are just irritated by too much political correctness or whatever, or closet alt.right trying to marginalize the impact of hate crimes/other unambiguous racism by focusing on trivialities.

This would be plausible if you hadn't made thousands of posts defending nazis. I think you doth protest too much.

That's ultimately why people don't listen to those who are outraged about being outraged. We can't tell if you are just irritated by too much political correctness (which annoys everyone) or closet alt.right supporters pushing some sinister agenda.

here's the trick. you say something and someone gets offended. now you know what makes them tick. now you lay that shit on thick as PBJ.

shove your views into their dumb little faces as much as you can, they'll sit down.

This thread is very problematic, plz delete.

Look at all the people who claim they don't get offended easily. Introspection is not a common personality trait around here it seems, lol.
Populists (and "national socialists") look at the supposedly secret deals that run the world "behind the scenes". Child's play. Except that childishness is sinister in adults.
