NE secondary has a lot of depth that is why Bills struggle with the passing game and focused on running I think...

Well that was an utter shit show of a drive for both sides. Like I said, rock fight. Hope Allen is okay.
Why is Jones still on the field after that headhunting shot on Allen?
Ex-Mod. Technically retired, they just won't let me quit.

Chiefs-Lions coming down to the wire here.
Raiders got their first win in Indianapolis since 2001.
Today is an odd day.

Classic Lions. Offense scores late, defense fails and causes them to lose.
Broncos offense scores a 1st quarter TD. Today is for sure an odd day.
i'm in the car driving back from the bills game.
At least our defense is for real. Barring the blocked punt for a TD which we just gace them for free, we outscored the Pats 10-9. Fucking for real defense. Lost turnover battle 4-1 and still had a chance. Even before last drive, we had 3rd and goal from the 1 and did the jumbo package, I hate that shit. 4th and goal, shoulda been caught. Time to cut the cord on fucking Zay Jones.
You have some fucking nerve calling out Jonathan Jones, a guy who has no history whatsoever of making plays like this, and accusing him of headhunting, when you have Votaeze Burfict on your team, who LITERALLY tried to decapitate a guy today.
But not a peep about that.
What Jones did was unfortunate but it was just a normal football play that worked out badly. At least I can say with conviction that Jonathan Jones never intended to hurt anyone on that play. Now let's you say that about Burfict with a straight face. I dare you.

Tom Brady is not a running QB, so this situation will never come up. It's the risk ANY running QB runs when they leave the pocket and try to get yards on the ground. It sucks it happens, but worse has happened to other QB's in similar situations and the punishments in those situations were always basically the same as what will happen to Jones: remain in the game and get a large fine and a warning to not pull that shit again.
On repeat offense, then yeah, who knows what might happen with punishment and they probably will get ejected. That wasn't the case here.
Goddamn Rams, you're not allowed to play like shit against Tampa, fuck Tampa.

Pretty much the same thing as what happened on Thursday as well. No ejection for that either, so the precedent is set. They both turned their bodies and lead with the shoulder, with helmet-to-helmet being an unfortunate outcome. The worst part of both was probably that the guy was already wrapped up.
Anyway, this:

Sort of a difference.
Wow, that was a real headhunt on Allen. Then he stands over his corpse and gloats.
Remember not too long ago when Gronk used his metal arm brace, that he was allowed to wear for some reason, to throw a potential career ending flying elbow to the back of Tre White's head/neck? Gronk got a slap on the wrist suspension and was back in time to play the Bills again.
NE is an amazing team. They don't need to do this kind of shit, but they do anyway, with minimal repercussions.

Just to be clear--I'm on xskarma's side on this one. If the Burfict hit is the standard for an ejection, the other two really don't warrant one. If you're saying headhunting in the sense that Jones went looking to light Allen up--I agree. But I don't think he deliberately went for his head. He lead with his shoulder and helmet-to-helmet was an unfortunate outcome (as it happens sometimes when two moving individuals collide). He didn't lead with his helmet like Burfict.
Did the hit need to be that rough? Probably not (though it did stop him from getting a 1st down, pre-penalty that is). I understand the arguments on both sides, but at some point you have to let these guys play and a QB running outside of the pocket needs to understand the consequences if he doesn't slide.
Just linking to stir the pot. No, I do not think this changed the game. It was lost due to a blocked punt and multiple interceptions (some which Zay Jones didn't do Wrong Josh any favors).
