Well his main plank is raising the minimum wage to where it pretty much already is in my country, and implementing a version of universal healthcare that's less extensive than the one I have.

And also, I'd argue that at some point the decades of stagnating wages, cost of living rising well above inflation, and rising inequality will catch up with us. There are dark times in the economic future on the US's current path.

The best thing that can be said for Bernie (and Trump as well) is they are old enough they won't see the consequences of their mistakes. If Bernie were to win and implement socialist polices, thereby crashing the economy in the long run, he'll still dies having lived the life of a one percenter never having to pay for his screw ups. Trump could end the same way though who knows what craziness he might pull out of his back side.

It is a common political problem. Politicians get elected by bribing people, especially in the form of retirement benefits, healthcare, pensions, etc. and are out of office long before those bills come due. It's a racket.

One of the greatest moments of my life was election night 2016 when Hilary threw a temper-tantrum and locked herself in her room and cried herself to sleep, hearing her genuine tears as her ballet of lies finally came tumbling down, it almost made made all that suffering worth it.
