Yea I was already going to hold off playing Spiderman until around Christmas anyways, now I will probably wait until the crashes are all patched out of it. It seems to be the launch game causing the most issues.

I've put 14hrs into Demon's Souls (and cleared the first 3 arch stones) and it has crashed on me 3 times.

Software crashes or as in completely locks the system up and you have to cut power like the spiderman ones? If it's just software crash and error report I probably wouldn't worry about them.

The des one for me was just the game and the dmc one was weird. Everything froze, it had the crash screen and it booted me back to the memu but then i go to boot the game back up and it was still playing

Just a software crash and I do believe all 3 times it happen when I returned to the nexus. I also had a moment where I summoned a person in to help on a fight, the boss went to do a AOE and the game froze for a moment then it kicked him out.

Two times I said screw it and summoned someone in on a fight and each time they ether get kicked out or died, Leaving me with a boss who has extra HP lol. Meh killed it each time so whatever lol.

Only odd thing I can say about my PS5 is there was random moments while playing DeS at 60fps the fan sped up but it lasted for like 10 seconds. Also that when I put a disk in it you can clearly hear it until its done reading it.

Edit: After 14hr 42mins, I've finished Demon's Souls Remake and loved it. Solid 9/10 game.

Still 5 days to go for the UK release. My controller arrived though, funnily enough. I've banked SO MANY games to play in 4k, it's a bit silly.

Mom was nice, but it was pretty short and not really worth 60 dollars, especially when all the cutscenes were just video files that i could literally see the artifacting on

Just had my first crash after 20+ hours of using the system. It was a hard crash in Demon's Souls completely turned system off had to repair storage, also corrupted the save but it was synced in PS+ cloud so didn't lose it. Was in 4-2 on the stairs down to 2nd reaper.

With all the crashes and bugs maybe it's for the best, that I didn't manage to get a PS5 on release...

This is why you wait until they iron out those problems. Just like I won't be taking the first commercial flights into space. Let them make a few mistakes first before flying up.

You know what the worst thing that could happen with buying a system at launch? It completely dies and oh wait... it's under warranty for a year or longer if you buy protection. Oh the horror and fear mongering over launch hardware when there is built in protection for the worst possible outcome. I think this is a coping mechanism for people with copious amounts of salt in their veins.

Only issue I had so far is disconnecting during demon souls but that’s probably more my shitty “socialist” internet.
Will do either the new AC or ff7 remake(funny story, bought the ce ff7 with statue and all but didn’t get pass chapter 2 due to...reasons)

I'm working through valhalla at the moment. Have WoW and cyberpunk around the corner. I can wait to play a 15 hour game from ps3 era that I've already played. And the spider-man game felt pretty soul less swinging around New York with nothing to explore other than doing the same combat as batman/shadows of mordor combat over and over and miles is nothing but just a different coat of paint on the same game. Kudos for trying to downplay spiderman as a new coat of paint while talking up that you're currently playing a ubisoft game of all things though...

I guess they should just let all those other developers pouring millions into creating games based on actual culture and history because there's just so many options on the market for that. But they put in a viking costume on the store! Game ruined!

I have played them though. Back on the ps3. And ps4. New animations don't do much for me. I still replay final fantasy games from ps1 days. You could give cloud/squall/Zidane a new flashy finisher. Still gonna be the same game.

And I don't care for politics you don't know the full story because you read an article online anyway so if you want to limit your gaming selection for morals (lol) go for it
