Netherwing farm after crz is gone

thank you for making this thread. I remember back in the day I was going to do this, started on it and just gave up. It was much more of a pain back in BC. After that, I more or less just forgot about that mount and when I did I was not bothered.

But now? YES! Im going to finally get around and do this!

Then you're either looking in the wrong places, or you're not looking hard enough. How do you think people used to do it? I grant you, it was a brain-melting experience, but it was (and is) entirely possible to do.

Edited to add: No, I didn't do it during BC -- I'm a Cata baby. But I got Exalted with Netherwing on 4 Jan. 2012, just over a year after I started playing WoW.

I find eggs all the time. Just done mindlessly circle the area for hours on end. Do your circle once then find something else to do (dailies, other toons, etc)

I never used any form of crz to get my netherwing drakes. I'd just head over there once a day (When you do the dalies), have all the spawn locations marked on the map for eggs and fly around and gather as many as I can, then move on with my other activities in the game. Doesn't take too long

Im just gonna say what everyone is thinking:

SOME GRINDS (Many!) were WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY (x10) easiere just some years ago.

Take for instance bloodthirsty title or Battlemaster pvp achivements.

Or Bigger bags on timeless isle is now insane to do.

Realm hopping was great, bring it back!

psss; I have battlemaster title back in like 2012..? 10? IIRC, and yes it was a big grind, but now its near-impossible.


This is the problem with wow; You often haft to play every exspansion, or you will miss out on grinds you can never do again, or have hard time to do...Like ahhgh, ranting here, but 1 key thing is like Ashran achivements, or the couslusem kills, or garrison boss kills..Like shit, so hard if you dont play every year.

Some of them actually became harder before they became easier. Take the classic reps like Timbermaw and Argent Dawn. You got 5 rep per kill, and items to turn in. Thing was at one point when mobs became grey they only gave 1/5th normal rep. I remember being barely into friendly with the aforementioned factions and having enough turnin items to reach exalted. Then at some point they doubled the rep gains from kills to 10(2), then did away with the downside altogether. So the reps are twice as easy as they were when current, and 10x easier than when I did them. I feel cheated.

But thats for sure only applies to vanilla grinds. I cant think of many grinds that got easier over time (Well ofc kill speed, flying mounts etc, can solo everything).

Then you obviously weren't looking very hard. Or you consider everything that isn't raiding to be "not real content."

It's not really hard to farm honestly......... just put ur efforts in 1-3 days of farming and u will get it all done. IF you are trying to look a way to server hop to get more eggs to farm, i'm sorry that's no longer in case to do that anymore. Gonna put alot effort to scout and farm.

A batshit load of em actually. Since blizz servers will populate empty shards before creating new one, you'll most likely never be alone anymore.

Fastest way may be to create a character on the most dead server and hope CRZ don't screw you too much.

What does the OP mean the cross realm addons don't work?Isn't the Group finder cross realm?Is porting/searching for a group not working for the eggs?Or is Shadow moon valley removed from CRZ?

I usually dont do the whole "its was so much harder back in the day" thing, but in this case, if you dont want to do the work, you dont want it enough

I'm all for doing things faster and easier if it can be done. If it can't, complaining that it takes too long is crap. It takes as long as it was meant to take.

Yup. Sometimes you might 3 in a hour. Most of the time we'd hunt early before work or just before bed. It was a fight to find the eggs. That's really how it should be still.

Nice, It's really a big feat considering there was a lot of people farming those eggs. I honestly think the mounts were worthy but I am bit ashamed to admit I used the anniversary buff to get some a small push :P

Btw I choosed the violet one as my free drake after the flying to Shattran

So, you prefer to camp an egg spawn spot and crz hop to find and farm the same egg spawn spot multiple times. Instead of doing the rounds. Gotcha.

I only play one toon and I never ran out of things to do during WoD. It annoys me when people parrot the completely incorrect statement that there "was nothing to do outside raiding." They just go down the list of what there was to do, cross of the list things they don't enjoy, and then claim there's nothing.

It's like going to the fridge, not seeing anything you're in the mood for, and lying and saying it's empty.
