    EU elections 2019

Are you planning to vote? Who will receive your vote? What do you think are the more important issues?

I'm probably going to support the pirate party due to article 13 and such things. We don't need that.

Why is it early? People have started talking about it.

Vote for the socialists, as always.

But this is way too early, the campaigns have not even started.

It falls on the same day with another election here and it's required of me to show up by law. So why not, not sure who or what to vote for.

Greens and Christian democrats are generally off my list, one are inexperienced idealist the others are fence sitters who lack the backbone to clean their own house. Not going to vote for a party that supports fascists like orban.

Far left and right are also out, extremists are again simply inexperienced idealists who can't govern and only shout and scream like toddlers from the opposition.

I would like to vote socialist, but I'm waiting to know how realistic they can get on policies, and if they support shitty regimes like Venezuela.
And there's no way in hell I'm giving my vote to the greens. If wee want coal out, we must get realistic about nuclear energy.

Yes, of course. I'm going to vote ENF or ECRG, haven't really decided yet.

Ofc I'll vote. As stated in the poll. For some ALDE or Greens-EFA candidate is likely. Greens is probable if there are a reasonable one as I am in the group that think a larger green voice is needed at that level. Otherwise ALDE as I won't vote for some idiot who'd say, be anti NATO.

Yes, I am going to vote. Conservatives and authoritarians are off my list already. I am most likely opting for a more environmentalist faction.

Yes I am. Dunno what yet. Probably someone for a more limited EU, while still being pro-EU as a whole.

Yeah, probably. I'm pro-EU defense though. Socialists tend to be anti-anything to do with military.

I'm voting for ALDE, as it is where the national political party i vote for is affiliated with. And I'm pro Guy Verhofstadt, mainly because he is one of the few visible faces of European Parliament.

And this is how you deal with an EU that you don't like, UK. Democracy, try it. :P

Harumph, I'm thinking we're seeing some proto-parties on EU level these days. They'll vote according to their national party's guidelines, but those parties align with each other on an EU level already. I would be surprised if there were major deviations from what is considered "EU-conservative" or "EU-liberal" or "EU-Greens" etc.

Perk of living outside of the country your voting in? Letter voting, my vote's in the mail. Pretty confident my candidate will get in and I voted Pro-EU

Disappointed to find out that I'm not eligible to vote from the US as a dual citizen. Not that I was passionate about a particular party, but doing some research and participating in the process would have been fun. Oh well.

Apparently voting by mail from outside of the Czech Republic isn't accepted. Not the first time OR the last time that country is making things difficult rather than easier. Too many pro-EU people must be living abroad.
