Warlock Question

Hi guys. So I have a warlock related question. So when warlocks use spells like grimsac, from a lore perspective, why don't they consume the entire physical body of their demon servants than just steal their soul essence to empower their spells? Wouldn't it make more sense if grimsac "de-materialized" and consumed the demon's physical form as well thus leaving no trace of their dead corpse (Thus causing the demon's body to vanish/disappear)? Wouldn't it be more efficient to consume the entire physical body of the demon than just suck out their soul essence and toss the body out?
