- MMORPG.com: "Moving to Sylvanas, I wanted to hear developers speak to her fans. So much has been heard from the “tribal” Horde via the Saurfang cinematics and through the questline to rescue him. Players were even given a chance to support the warchief by not participating in his rescue and those who made that choice feel that the direction the story is moving will ultimately leave them behind in favor of the “right choice”. The question then became, “What do you say to Sylvanas fans or those players who chose her because they didn’t like the gist of the Saurfang story?”

Shani: Shani came out the gate first by saying, “I would tell Sylvanas fans that her story definitely isn’t over yet. We have a lot more to tell. She’s not Garrosh 2.0. She has a lot more going on. Don’t want to spill anything, but there is a ton more coming for Sylvanas’s story.”

Morgan added what I felt was the most interesting view I’ve heard from any developer when it comes to Sylvanas: “With the Sylvanas aspect, there are two sides here: People in the Saurfang / Baine camp and the people who are with Sylvanas.”

Morgan: “Put yourself in the shoes of someone in the Horde. They’ve known nothing but conflict for over 20 years. They believe that Sylvanas is the person who will bring an end to this. She’s the one who can unite the Horde in ways it’s never been before. You can see how people would want that. They might think, “I would like to know peace, please. Sylvanas will get us there.” The people know what Baine and Saurfang and Thrall lead to -- it’s just the same conflict they’ve seen. Sylvanas is bringing something no one’s ever brought before. So it’s interesting to see different sides of that. She has a plan.”

- WoWhead: Sylvanas’ actions have left many confused, and she’s still a bit elusive in 8.2, appearing to be one step ahead of our plans. There’s also a theory that each Warbringer will be in the spotlight for a different BFA patch (Jaina 8.1, Azshara 8.2). Will her motives become clearer in a future BFA patch or too early to say?

Jeremy Feasel: "She's coming up on her endgame. In a future content update, we will see exactly where Sylvanas is going."

Literally everything she's done so far can be mirrored with Garrosh. Even now, at this point in MoP story... remember how Garrosh went and got the heart of dead Old God? Sylvanas is getting the Blade of a Xal'atath... wait... didn't Garrosh start using a weapon that had a "Xal" aswell? Fucking christ it's literally the same beat for beat.

She's brought MORE WAR with the SAME ENEMY the horde has fought so many times. Sylvanas has brought NOTHING NEW. Oh sure, maybe if the war of thorns had gone according to play she might have put the horde in a position to negotiate peace from a position of power or something, but all she's actually brought is MORE OF THE SAME right after the Legion invasion.

Whether you support Sylvanas or not I have a hard time seeing what 'new' approach she's brought.

Final patch, right before "Battle of Orgrimmar" you receive a letter from Sylvanas for being loyal this entire time

"Dear loyal Champion, gonna need you to play along with the rebels when they attack. To keep up appearances, you may even have to kill Nathanos and possibly me"

Essentially, the package Sylvanas is attempting to sell the Horde is "we fight a long and bloody war, but at the end of it the Alliance will be broken and we will have a lasting peace." The package that Saurfang/Thrall/Vol'jin/Baine are selling is "we will stop the war, but there will always be conflict, and so Horde lives will be lost slowly but surely." Those who want a final and lasting peace (free of the looming Alliance threat) fight under Sylvanas' banner, whereas though who don't believe this war will lead to lasting peace fight under banner of Saurfang.

They're making her this master manipulator sort of thing. Every wrong move she's made was not a wrong move at all. It was all part of her plan to unite Azeroth against the Old God. In the end, she'll be revered and celebrated as a hero by everyone of the Alliance and Horde, who'll cheer her on and thank her for saving the world as she has.

It's not Garrosh 2.0, it's Kerrigan 2.0.
