But then you have problems with paying for a product. Deal with it, creating games cost money. Besides, they don't really need you to test the game this time around. We already tested vanilla some 16 years ago. This is not so much a beta as a promotion given out mainly to streamers in order to get free publicity.
so they should call it what it is then. early access. until then its a beta, until then you get to shut up about what it is and what it is not.
if it was already beta tested, why are they finding issues that are legit issues?

Or who the hell would remember Tauren used to have a giant hitbox?
Me for one. Was especially helpful in TBC for Lady Vashj for the fearing striders.

And what makes you think that 100% of things what got changes are bad? Yes there are several stuff better 9n moder wow. But things like lfg, lfr, sharding, difficulty levels, flying, etc? Such things do not belongs into mmo games.

It's quite funny how many people say stuff like that isn't it. "How can you remember this?"

Memory is extremely complex, people can remember and forget events seemingly at random.

I remember fishing in Redridge at level 24 on my Mage because I wanted to level her skill up for Gahz'ranka in ZG when I reached 60.
I remember how from 1-15-ish the regen rate for mana and hp was completely out of whack.
I remember specific places in the game world where you could blink through and/or climb up walls without having to look them up.
I remember Tauren having larger sizes which caused them to have to unmount all the time when going through doorways.

Some people don't have the memories of a goldfish, others seem baffled by this fact.

They gave access to the beta to the wrong people, but all those private servers player's tears are delightful.
it did in one of the earlier patches.. I know it was used for that video where the paladin reckoning bombed Kazzak.

So they decided to reward people who are still subbed and actively involved in the game and not invite people who aren't actively involved in the game. Seems fair to me. Why would they choose a bunch of people who haven't been playing to test it over people who are actively playing WoW? While yes, many people may have unsubbed while they wait for an update or vanilla to be released, they can't know for sure those unsubbed players would be interested in coming back to test vanilla, where as there is a much higher chance someone who is still subbed is still interested in the game and therefore more likely to be interested in beta testing vanilla.

Tbh the fact they've ever invited people without subs back for beta tests baffles me. I imagine they did it to try and retain players or bring them back, but inviting them to play a buggy broken version of your game seems a strange way to do it. Using active players for beta tests makes far more sense.

Yeah..."lol" and why do we STILL get tons of different opinions on the game. I mean..I played since release and don't remember everything. And I certainly remember some things subjectively and plain wrong. Do you remember everything in your life correctly?

Not least there is the Mandela effect, but this guy also makes awesome videos on all kinds of stuff...not least that it is possible to implant memories (based on how people remember things wrongly, but swear they are right) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EhKYy_IUkw

Congratz...you should be able somehow make a fortune with that. It is like photographic memory or what, I guess?

why would they choose a bunch of people playing modern wow and clearly have no idea how vanilla was supposed to work over people who actually have a better idea of how vanilla works? why now all of a sudden do they care about rewarding subbed people over those who were actually waiting for classic?
i don't know. you tell me.
because the results from modern testers tell me they have no clue what the heck they are talking about at all.
complaints about stuff not showing up on mini maps.
complaints about quests not showing up that are low level.
complaints about regeneration and spawn rates.

    they invited:
    most of the streamers
    few old players
    few new players
    few randoms

note that old players not always remember how stuff worked back in days.

Whats that ? Elitist people from nerf pirate servers complaining ?

and yet if you read their post, they are clearly taking a shot at modern players.

I dont agree with needing to sub for it, but there are still plenty of vanilla players that still play the modern game. I dont have fantastic memory but i am sure i would misreport things too.

Most of those things are working correctly on private servers. So no, that's not private server players.

I have to admit, I literally laughed out loud when I read the commonly reported "bug" list on some of those items. The quest objectives and points of interest not being on the map or mini-map one and the NPC respawn rate being much slower than in BFA were especially... classic? Guess I'm still one of those people that actually read the quest nowadays and always have to guide people that are so confused as to where to go when the in-game quest helper doesn't show up properly on live (when it's almost always listed in the quest text).

“It's not an endlessly expanding list of rights — the 'right' to education, the 'right' to health care, the 'right' to food and housing. That's not freedom, that's dependency. Those aren't rights, those are the rations of slavery — hay and a barn for human cattle.”

Hahahahaha love how they are just trolling the classic community at this point.

Well it depends how youd extend that thought. I dont have a sub. Current WoW absolutely does not deserve it and I wont sub for a beta I might not get into when I have 0 intent on ever reinstalling during BFA's lifecycle. If I can get the beta and not access it fine, make it show up on my menu ill log in buy a token and activate my account to play Classic Beta. But if they want me to pay for the opportunity to maybe get the invite? no thats dumb because then money is running and I get no game time out of it because retail can burn at this point.
