    Build Rating

    Hey there,

If you could judge this build and help me ensure it won't self destruct that would be great. I'm not very knowledgeable about computer components.

Budget is <£1000. Current computer is 8 years old and starting to self destruct. Not looking for highest end, honestly just medium-end and at least 5+ years of relativity.

Case: Cooler Master MasterBox MB520. Seems pretty spacious, has 3 pretty chunky fans.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X - 8-Core 3.70GHz with AMD Ryzen Wraith CPU Cooler. I don't know anything about liquid cooling so I'm super hesitant on it. Chances are I'd only be able to afford a low end cooling system and I'm unsure how that performs.

    HDD: 1TB Seagate BarraCuda SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 7200RPM Hard Drive
    SSD: 256GB (1x256GB) Intel 760p M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD - 3210MB/s Read & 1315MB/s Write

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4/2400mhz Dual Channel Memory)

    MB: MSI B450M PRO-VDH PLUS: M-ATX w/ USB 3.1, SATA3, 1x M.2

PSU: Cooler Master MasterWatt Lite 600W

    SOUND: On-board

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB

    WNC: Intel® Wireless 3168 Wi-Fi 802.11ac Dual Band (2.4 GHz & 5GHz) up to 433Mbps

What do you do with your PC? What resolution do you play games at? There's a nice little list in this thread you can copy paste and fill out https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads...-build-Read-me

But quick first impressions: Your case is bad, your CPU is overkill, your GPU is meh, your MOBO is garbage-tier, and your RAM is slow

I would also drop the 1TB HDD entirely and just get a 500gb or 1TB SSD. SSD's are so cheap these days, the only time you'd be trying to save on them is when you are literally digging through your couch for coins to find the funding for it.
    Gaming: Dual Intel Pentium III Coppermine @ 1400mhz + Blue Orb | Asus CUV266-D | GeForce 2 Ti + ZF700-Cu | 1024mb Crucial PC-133 | Whistler Build 2267
    Media: Dual Intel Drake Xeon @ 600mhz | Intel Marlinspike MS440GX | Matrox G440 | 1024mb Crucial PC-133 @ 166mhz | Windows 2000 Pro

The HDD he wants is ~£35, the 250gb 760p is ~£76 (Yes really), and you can get a 1tb WD blue SATA m.2 drive for ~£114.

    Overall probably a decent idea
