Here I was thinking using facist symbols means you support their ideology, that's not very progressive of you. 'Black people' are a monolith are they, with a specific set of shared beliefs and values, a singular culture and way of interacting with the world right? How would you know what is better for the 'black community' than Owens? Are you an african-american, do you have lived experience? Guess what, there is no such thing as a 'black identity' or a 'jewish identity'. There are just individuals that we might group by a charactaristic they share, an arbitrary charactaristic that tells you nothing about the things about them that actually matter. Like their beliefs, their politics, their class or upbringing. Historically speaking the only cure to fascism has seemingly been political violence. There are some ideologies out there that simply cannot be reasoned with.
