No that is not my logic. If a majority of the swedish people where rapists then yes, then they would be damn right in asuming that every swedish person was a rapist untill proven not true.
I am not saying every russian is like that, i am saying most russian PLAYERS is like that. There is a huge difference. I am pro-russia IRL, but not in games. And i am not saying they are criminals, i am saying they are toxic in game.
And it seems like i am not alone in this perception in game.
Sure go ahead, you dont even know what words like racist and bigot mean but be my guest. I dont give a damn what you think of me or other swedish people.

Same as with russians but not on the same large scale.

Thats okey, i dont think SJW's are sane either.
First the "stress test" for NA only.
Now this completely disrespectful attempt to squeeze the costs for a reduced level of service compared to retail for European non English speakers.
This one is getting worse fast, turning from a dream to a parody.
I (as a German) just want to throw my cents in here as well.
First of all I just want to say that talking in English is not really a problem for me. I have to do it every day at work and I'm (close to) fluent in the language. Does that mean I want to play on an international server? Nope! The problem with an "EU" international server would be that the language would not be purely English. It would be a mix of various languages (French, German, English, Italian, Spanish, Norwegian, Danish, Polish and so on). You cannot expect every player in Europe to speak English.
Even in Germany if you leave the bigger cities and go to the countryside (as happens to be with most non-English speaking countries) the people you encounter will speak very little English. The younger generation might be a bit better in it but if you don't use the language every day you will get a bit rusty. I encountered the same thing in Poland. I was in a medium sized city on a business trip and the cashier at a gas station couldn't understand me because he didn't speak English. I've been to Italy (Milan) and even there the language skills with anything except Italian are VERY poor. And you know what? I was there at a major company that works on an international level.
Anyway don't expect everybody in Europe to speak English just because it is considered common. Personally I'd also prefer to play on a German realm because after work I just want to relax and play a bit while talking to some people in my own language.
Btw. anyone that says "there are no differences between Europeans" is talking out of their rear end. You may want to visit a few European countries to see that there a differences when it comes down to cultural aspects and even behavior. You can't even compare Irish people with Germans. It's a completely different mentality.
The decision made by Blizzard was stupid as hell and I hope the change their mind.
Sorry, but you are ignorant then. The statement "run on Christianity" already is extremely stupid. Depending on where you go you'd either encounter Catholics or Protestants. Everything that was east of the Berlin wall is not very religious at all as it had been heavily influenced by the soviet socialist system which in fact was not kind to "Christians". You also have to consider that even though Christianity had a big impact on the European cultures there are still distinct differences between EVERY single country in Europe.
That doesn't mean we can't get along. But there always is potential for conflict even when it just comes down to playing a game.
I've been called a freaking Nazi more than once by people from various countries just by revealing that I'm a German. Do you think this makes for a good conversation?
Anyway it would be a good idea for Blizzard to have at least 1 server of each type dedicated to the various big languages (French, English, Spanish, German, Italian). If they won't do it then there will be "unofficial" servers dedicated to a specific language and if you as a player start there and you can't speak the dominant language then you'll probably have a bad time. As long as there are only "international" servers in the EU this whole will be messy as hell as Blizzard will not be able to enforce English as the primary language.
Also consider what would happen if people start reporting other players because they use a language in public chat that others can't understand. With the whole automated reporting/silencing system this is a disaster waiting to happen...
No, you are. The differences between the countries are minor and negligible. I was born in Thailand, the differences between Thai and Norwegian or other European countries cultures is vast. You quibble about minor differences, as if they matter. Just because Europeans like to make a big fuss about minor differences doesn't mean they are anything but minor differences. You don't even know what anything beyond minor culture differences are if you've never left Europe.
i'm from Russia, but i absolutely hate playing with other Russians.. dunno if they're the worst kind of teammates to have, cuz yeah, Turks and Poles are up there as well
if i were to rank them from absolute worst to just awful then it'd be something like Turks > Russians > Poles
again im not trying to flame anyone and suggest that every single Turk, Russian or Pole is a fucking dumbfuck cheater or w/e, but i dont think any other country has even came close to having so many idiots i've met from these 3 countries
and obviously any other country has idiots as well
but in Classic i'll not even look towards Russian only servers and good thing that there will be Russian only servers.. i wish they'd add servers for people from other countries as well tho, this explanation about cyrillic doesnt really make sense.. like just because they use the same or similar alphabet doesnt mean that people can understand each other LMAO. It'd be fine if everyone was forced to speak English or something, but you know there will be many servers where people would only speak French, German or Spanish and still have plenty of people that cant understand any of these languages

At op- you need to join in a different region for different languages
"Russian" isn't a race FYI. If people were railing against slavic people you could argue that's racism. People like to use the word "racism" in a way that is overly broad and not correct. It would be better if you accused people of misplaced nationalism or of being russiophobes. But racism is an actual real thing that is a serious problem, please don't dilute it by trying to apply the term inappropriately.
Do you guys think opening up these realms is sustainable? On the long run I mean, after the "vacationist" people have left classic. Do you want the current "I AM ALONE ON MY REALM" problem for classic?
I read whole topic. Seems like its gonna hard to me find guild at eu server
I'm telling you once more - you are talking out of your rear end. You have no idea what the various cultural aspects within Europe are.
If you think that everything is just "minor" here then Asia is the same. There can't be major differences between Thailand, Japan, China or hell even India. It's all just minor stuff. That kind of statement doesn't sound very smart now, does it? I'd suggest that you stop making claims about things you don't understand. You may have "visited" various European countries. That doesn't mean you've seen more than the bare surface of the respective cultures.
So when I went to the EU English forums thread about the topic it said Russian players would be on thier own realms with their own client.
Does this satisfy people or is it simply the lack of dedicated Fr/Ger/Ita/Spa servers that was the main complaint (the thread got a bit derailed by "omg Russia cheat!" crap, which it would appear, is no longer an issue)
