Second, I call him Mayor Pete because I don't take him seriously enough to bother remembering to spell his last name. It's really as simple as that. It's not him. It's the country. I don't think this country is remotely confident enough in itself to elect a (1) small city mayor (2) under 40 (3)who is gay (4) with a strange name. It'll go with the 72 year old fascist who makes it feel all warm and fuzzy inside about "America First" and things like that.

You don't prescribe enlightenment to a decadent nation. Mayor Pete is too many things this country, sadly, isn't at the present. He's why the race has been dominated by fading septuagenarians with fading ideologies, and has seen a notable lack of quality in other candidates in their 40s and 50s.

What person in their right mind wants to take over this mess? Better to just plan for your own escape plan for when the shit hits the fan. And that's how I give Trump 60% chance of re-election.
Pete Buttigieg will be the straightest gay man ever to lose the Presidency.

Lincoln's wig is now in Alaska. And I oop.

That being said, the Bernie Bros toxicity is a known, quantifiable factor. We're seeing that in these forums, in Bernie Bros' own words, and in polling - which is fascinating.
Which side on these forums is constantly using dumb childish names that you would normally see from low iq trump supporters again?

I haven't seen bernie folks on here coming up with cheesy names for people who don't support him.

Um, ok? Remind me again which side would rather Trump win than any other candidate but their own?

    Lol, what?

Mayo Pete, Lyin' Liz, Officer Harris, Senator Karen, et cetera?

The only person better than Bernie Bros at nicknames of that sort is Donald Trump.

Ha using the search function you're the one using the term mayo pete. Like really your example is yourself?

The others seem to be right wingers posting in this thread.

Lets see. Bernie's troll army is now tweeting that Pete is unelectable, since "he cant win the black vote".

To discourage black voters if Bernie is the nom. All the GOP has to do is:
Play clips of 2012 Bernie calling "Obama a disappointment!" Clips of his senior campaign staff saying worse about Obama.
Play Clips of 2019 Bernie calling Obama "lazy", since he only won 10% of the white vote in Mississippi.

I cant wait until wikileaks gets the raw footage of Bernie's Moscow honeymoon. A former KGB agaent will mysteriously drop it in their laps about October, 2020.
So you want 4 more years of Trump and a lifetime of conservative SCOTUS?

Well, at least we know where you stand.

Oh you mean the side that supported Clinton in the last election at a much greater rate then Clinton supporters did for Obama?

Now regardless of whom wins the primary they will be labeled a Socialist which in my eyes has lost its luster with the majority of the nation except for those states whom are relying on that Socialism in the form of farm subsidies / payments.
Obama was repeatedly bashed as being a socialist. Reality no longer matters to Republicans or their propaganda and hasn't for a long time.

They were apparently so bad in Nevada that a number of people quit her campaign because they felt they were being tokenized for their race.

Yikes this is a big deal. The powerful Culinary Union in Nevada is going nuclear against Sanders. Thats the only big caucus state left this cycle.

Also a lot of bad memories from extremely poor behavior from Sanders team during Nevada 2016. Pretending to be union members to sneak into union spaces and harass members.

Love you guys, seriously. Just deflect and defend - sound familiar? Who was more like Trump supporters again?

That poll and the Bernie Bros message is very frightening. Both for the nomination process and the country as a whole.

Yes, we get it. You're a conservative that thinks Clinton was progressive. Can you stop trolling the Democrat primary threads yet?

How is he "trolling" again? With information that's negative to your candidate?

And all you seem to do is attack. The side coming up with cheesy name calling like bernie bros.

That's right out of the trump playbook.

Because he keep trying to present himself as a progressive while all of his posts exclusively are about bashing on progressives.

And no, his post just there wasn't just bashing on Sanders. It was bashing on the entire idea of Medicare for All. Which means he's also bashing any other candidate that supports it like Warren.

do you think maybe its possible to support the idea of expanding healthcare while also thinking that M4A may not necessarily be the most successful approach?

Those two things seem vastly different.

I mean, if you want to ignore reality where universal healthcare is a successful system in a large number of countries then sure, I guess.

I think that the moneyed interests will defeat any single payer system so that means the next logical step is a public option which forces those insurance companies to die over time instead of a shock to a very very very very large part of the American economic system.
