What? Cuba:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuban_Revolution
26 July 1953 is celebrated in Cuba as the Day of the Revolution. The 26th of July Movement later reformed along communist lines, becoming the Communist Party in October 1965.Those dates don’t add for them even being friends at the time of the revolution. Far from being invaded...Following the American embargo, the Soviet Union became Cuba's main ally. The two Communist countries quickly developed close military and intelligence ties, culminating in the stationing of Soviet nuclear weapons in Cuba in 1962, an act which triggered the Cuban Missile Crisis. Cuba maintained close links to the Soviets until the Soviet Union's collapse in 1991. The end of Soviet economic aid and the loss of its trade partners in the Eastern Bloc led to an economic crisis and period of shortages known as the Special Period in Cuba.
You will never guess who sent troops to install the government in Cuba, in around 1900. I’ll let you guess once...
I don’t even have to provide a link, to show there was no invasion. Sweet...The FARC in Columbia received funding from the Soviets. They just recently disbanded BTW.
Oh... I see... you have a bizarre definition of ‘USSR invaded’...The communists in Chile too.
Edit: oh and don’t take it as hating America. It’s hating ignorance... facts don’t make people hate things.

Just to make this abundantly clear... The path to communism is authoritarian capitalism. If you beat into people that authority is something to beholden to, they will keep the authoritarianism... even when switching to socialism, due to inequality that is beyond the bitching people do in US... that’s how you get communism. The problem is always the authoritarianism, regardless if it’s socialism or capitalism. The problem is always authority over stepping boundaries. Ignoring authority to bitch about economics, will always lead to fascism or communism.

They didn’t invade... the west gave it to them, as part of treaty. Oh and by the west, I do mean US, UK, Fran... Hey... that list is starting to seem familiar.
(I can’t believe I have to say this... not conspiracy theory... talking about countries that are powerful, largely due to the outcome of WW2. Russia and US were hands down the biggest winners. Who has veto in UN? US won that shit, hands down... USA! USA!)

Oh and it’s fucking Afghanistan... that’s the one... the only reason it fails to completely meet my requirements, USSR collapsed before the leadership could really be installed. Watch Rambo 3 (I think it’s 3) it explains everything...

I would mind. Why would I want some foreign power that doesn't care about the people, just looking to exploit the situation for their own needs, why would I them to be there?
Unless they are actually there to help defeat the oppressors and hand the country back over to the people, fuck em.

It’s not an invasion, until hindsight is 20/20. They had Russian partisans in time square giving interviews. There is a famous one, where a reporter asked a female one, how she kept her make up on, while killing Nazis. Russia was kinda welcomed, until they overstayed their welcome. I don’t think they liked what a buffer against the West meant.

That just switches roles... now the oppressors become the oppressed. On the topic of USSR... the Romanovs got exterminated. France had the guillotine. Do you step in and save the Czar or monarchy?

Yeah, USSR lied... it’s as if I just fucking said that. They trusted USSR and let them in. There was no invasion. They were dumb... to be fair, they were that desperate... dumb isn’t really fair.
Oh... and saying someone supports communism, for simply being right... that’s a dangerous precedent. If you want to beat communism, call your self a communist and start acting like a moron that doesn’t know what he is talking about. It’s like having a political sticker, then driving like a cunt. It’s effective... calling people supporters of communism, for simply being right... is very dangerous.
Jeebus... can you tell I watched a lot of dr who recently?

The Russians did what they wanted at the end of WWII, there wasn't a whole lot the allies could do about it. The Soviets occupied all those countries at the end of the war, they weren't going to leave, they had a huge war machine at that time. There was nothing we could do about that.
We're extremely lucky we got West Germany.

I often worry that foreign intervention may eventually be necessary in my country. Politicians doing their very best to sow discord among citizens.
Mogudishu. We, with the help of the UN, tried to restore order in Somalia. Instead, we got caught in a 20+ hour gun battle in the city, 19 Americans were killed, and about 100X (the official numbers vary, anywhere from 500 to 5000) that died fighting against us.
Rather than solving Somalia's problems, we kicked a hornets nest, made it worse, and then left in shame.

The era of conquest by force is largely over and we are better off for it. Wars should be reserved for the real usurpers to the West perhaps a show of force to ease tensions and make bad actors think twice but a large scale conflict is only going to hurt you in the long run now. Also with tools like the IMF the US and its allies can force a collapse to make in most cases regime change easier regardless of how cruel it appears to be.
No body on Earth has the right to dictate that democracy must be implemented, that wouldn't be very democratic, would it. People of venezuela have to organize and rise up themselves if they want a free country, not a puppet government always working for whoever came to rescue them.
