Can Warcraft do any of this? Some of the best media projects and franchises are full of it. Hope! A glorious ending, promise, nobility and goodness in the face of adversity, it's the hallmark of great fantasy, but it is missing from wow - who joins the darker fantasies where everything is gloom and doom, and destruction is the showcase.. yet it parades itself with cartoony cutesy graphics and art style, with music to fit, but not telling a tale that truly uplifts.

The few attempts at showing nobility and good character have also come under a lot of criticism from some quarters of the fanbase, mainly in Anduin Wyrnn and Malfurion Stormrage who are the biggest icons of that... yet while forumers pile on the hate, they will do well to remember, these are 2 of the most loved characters, and the hate certainly for Malfurion in recent years was not because of his character, but because he was written to be inactive.. showing blizzard handling poorly iconic figures who should be present.

So.. what sort of glorious conclusions, or hope do you think wow can be injected with in it's story?

Or is it really too late to turn wow around? The player as a hero falls flat ost of the time, too much some say, shifting it to well known icons causes so much dvision too. While you can't please anyone, nor should you try, there is a lot of discontentment on how the approach is, where during the RTS there was a lot more praise.. that can't be a co-incidence..

But if you're going to criticise, can you offer a better alternative? Or hit the nail on the head on what is wrong and how it needs to be changed.
