That one in particular had an interesting post earlier today, so I'm not sure about the two being related

I don't know what name went live, but the new class is a mix of DR/Necro/DK. Mail armor, melee/ranged/caster/healer (yes 4). All races, shares new starting zone with DK. All allied race DK start there too, current DK races retain old zone with option to start in new zone.

I agree, it's most likely fake, just thought it was interesting that was one of his only posts besides saying "confirmed" to a somewhat believable collector's edition leak

Problem then it becomes a bit unfair, if you don't buy the expansion you don't get a new class (More important than just a race)

Having 2 week early access is easier because by that time people don't really care about the advantage

You never get the new class if you don't buy the new expansion (technically you do when the following expansion launches, but that's beside the point). It would definitely drive up interest in prepurchases if people immediately got access to a new class.

You could also argue the relative importance is arbitrary; some people would view earlier access to 7.3 allied races are more important than earlier access to a new class.

Would 'Night Warrior' be a class? Obviously Sylvanas wouldn't train alliance characters to be Dark Rangers so they'll need something on their side equivalent. That assumes factions aren't totally obsolete in 9.0.

Yeah, I saw that. If that's true it fits in with my "prepurchase for early-access to the new class" theory.

8.3 features a revamped DK starting zone featuring the new class as well. Sets the stage for 9.0.
